Title: Your creation choices are invalid.
Post by: patriciao82173 on December 26, 2004, 04:15:17 pm: Please help me I\'ve tried randomized, I\'ve tried non randomized, defaults and I STILL get this message. I\'ve tried reading the forums and found others with the same problem but, no answers.

[Edit] I have heard that you can have a positive number left just not negative :) [/Edit]

so when i didn\'t choose anything, i could start the game
but i would realy like to choose something
i could not change the char\'s look either but that doesn\'t matter much to me

this is my 2nd char, since the first got lost due to a bug (game crashes when I want to load him...)

me too i tried to Randomize but didnt work and i tried to get 0 points left at lthe end doesent Work sorry but i need to know how to get over that problem !?!

That\'s why you get that error: on one page you had less than 0 points left, and the following pages used another set of CP, and you assumed it\'d be additional points yielded by the choices.
To further complicate matters, the char creation is being worked on online, which means that the points required / yielded by any option may change at any time, and also the pages at which which set of CP takes effect also change. Happened to me. Therefore, use the back button to verify that each page lists >=0 CP and you\'ll be fine.

After installing, you\'ll find the \"planeshift updater\" in your start menu. Run it and hit \"update\", then it will update. :)

Post by: Seytra on January 05, 2005, 07:48:39 pm: Did the updater finish or did you need to interrupt it? In case you interrupted it, look for the dos command hang thread.

If not, you should post your exception message and the dump file in the appropriate stickies in the CB bugs forum so that the bug can be fixed.
