Considering that CB has been released just a short while ago, there are at least 100 players on most of the time. When they\'re don\'t get kicked off by the server :P

Come join us!!
It\'s got some bugs that you can for the most part bypass if you set up your system right.
-
Short while meaning 2 days ago. ;)
Be sure to read the Player guide/FAQ whilst you download.
Ha Ha Ha. :baby:
-
No. As you can easily see from the news page, it has been released ages ago and as can be seen from the forums, almost nobody is playing it at all.
Geez! Did you even read anything?
-
Yeah I haven\'t been able to get arouhd link dead yet :(
Also if you do d/l it run the update file before you play it

LOL! This is one of the funniest posts I\'ve ever read here. The game was released the day before yesterday! Haha!
-
well, its not realy released yet is it? there just betas
-
renatoc8, if you\'re waiting for a version that can actually be called the \"final release\", you\'ll be waiting a loooong time. PS is under constant development- it will almost always be known as an Alpha or Beta stage game.

I think it would be a lot more popular if we had a linux client.
-
there is a linux client on the site...or there used to be.....

Whine, whine, whine. I seriously can\'t stand the continuous \"where\'s the client for platform XY?!?!?!\" posts. Geez. There will be a Linux client, and a MAC OSX client, they\'re simply not usable yet! The devs wouldn\'t have the time to debug all of them at the same time anyway, and many of the bugs will be the same in all versions. Furthermore, with all clients available, the server would be swamped even more than it\'s already. The windoze client is the one most finished since most of the dev team can work on it.
It\'s amazing to see all these people show up only to whine about clients not being available... (yes, I read your two other posts and know they\'re not whining)
And I think it would be much less popular if there\'d be only a Linux version available.

There already is a linux version. If you know anything about the OS you using you should know that you can go get the old cvs, use the updater and then get the rest of the important files from the windows version. I don\'t know anything about how to do it, but you are a linux user, and if you going to use the OS you might as well know how to use it correctly.
But indeed this game would be more popular if there was a linux version out. The real question is \"Do we want PS to be more popular?\" The steady stream of newbies and annoying questions and rude comments (I\'m looking at you seytra) has gotten everyone a little tired. Just wait for further information, you can\'t expect this game to be a gem after the 4th day of release.

PlaneShift: Crystal Blue works fine on my system, just CVS the planeshift source, install using the old CVS instructions, and check out the \"Linux client\" post (something about the updaterconfig). Run the updater and it was working fine.

yes, works very well (after i had to patch the source for a bug that happens ONLY on my system... strange strange, but i found it after 24 hours :-) )

Maybe you should learn something about linux before questioning my competence. I\'ll refer you to my post here:

There *is* linux source code out there, which you can try to compile. There *is not* currently a binary linux client as there is for windows. The developers say they are working on such client now. But I\'m a bit peeved that the windows client was released first, esp. when much of the development was done in linux, and this is an open-source project.
Compiling from source can be very very complicated, and it varies alot by the type of system you have. In my case, I compiled and am getting inexplicable freeze-ups and error messages. No one has so far been able to help me with this.
