Title: how about some sort of Hall of Records?

my idea is kinda simlar to Runespaces \"Hiscore\"  thing. cept there would be a Hall of Records for each race. all Kran\'s records would be found in the city where the Krans come from. Enkidukai\'s records found where they come from. Ect...
   And then maybe the best of the best could be found in the main city/capitol or whatever it may be.

I like it, but as everything, it holds some problems.
Well, first of all, and probably the only problem with it, is that the first player to reach the maximum lvl in all skills would stay at the top, and the board would pile up from there. It can only work if the board, as well as the game is reset every once in a while, but that would mean starting over, and who wants that? ?(

That idea has already been debated, and the best solution that was told about, I think, was that the heroes accomplishing great quests would be sang by the bards, and eventually have their adventures wrote on books, which would be stored on the libraries.
Quite realistic, and it avoids thos rank problems, as there is actually no ranks :->

This could be very well explored! Imagine you walking on the Elentor Streets or having some NPCs telling about the things u\'ve did.

Hmmm :D What exactly would give you \'hero points\' then? solving quests? a lot of wealth? a lot of relations? thats another interesting point.

mmm... I think quests should, and important roles in politics too; but to be wealth is not necessary to be worth some heroe points unless you do something for the others, I think.
Perhaps we could have a vote to it: I mean, candidates explain why they should be sang, or somebody asks for them, and then all the population can vote.
There will be less corruption then than if it was a small jury, and more accuracy than if it was a mechanical calculus, don\'t you think?

Yes, as in true life, corruption is an everyday\'s meal...
I already thank on it, that\'s why I proposed a kind of democracy and not anarchy  ;)
What do you want, to erradicate corruption we should eliminate all those \'bad guys\'... and that\'s opposed to principles of democracy!
Anyway, I think it can be much better to make the population vote if that street should have someone\'s name than doing it with stupid points and ranks...
For the songs and books it\'s another thing. I think bards and writers should be humans and not npcs, and if they want to lie, they can; they souldn\'t but they can; that\'s how it actually works anyway, isn\'t it?
And if everything worked fine and there were no corruption, us anarchists from Los Otros would have no reason to exist so let the society rot :evil:

I think it would be great if you could also be a \"Villain\". i.e (I mean an EXAMPLE!!): There was a quest where some knights have to protect something from monsters. You just go and kill the knights and destroy this something. Due to your bad actions during all time you will then get a title or something and become not a \"Hero\", but a Villain.
I was thinking about how cool would be if there was two sides, the good and the bad ones, and you could choose which side you are or just begin as a neutral and depending of your actions you just change your side.

Anyway, I have already my own community... and it is not a fundamentally evil one!

Changing the subject, I think everybody should have to counters: \'good points\' and \'evil points\'. Your actions add points to the correct counter. And a hero is somebody who has a total addition of points greater than a some level... And the difference between the two counters show your alignment. This one can be showed, for example, in your title; but fixing \'heroes\' and \'villains\' automatically eliminates all those which are globally neutral because they do everything they want, sometimes good, sometimes bad, even if they have accomplished great things.
