Title: Download Problem

I got a major problem downloading the installer from Planeshift.it. It wants a Password! Well I am using GetRight (Trial) To load it down in junks (Damn 56k Modem), and when I start the Load a Message Box appears which wants me tipping in a Login and Password. When canceling it stops. I tried to type in my forum name and Password, I also tried to close GetRight to Load it per pedes also Password.

After canceling following message appeard in Browser:

HTTP Error 401
401.3 Unauthorized: Unauthorized due to ACL on resource

This error indicates that the credentials passed by the client do not have access to the particular resource on the server. This resource could be either the page or file listed in the address line of the client, or it could be another file on the server that is needed to process the file listed on the address line of the client.

Please make a note of the entire address you were trying to access and then contact the Web server\'s administrator to verify that you have permission to access the requested resource.

yes i\'ve also had this problem. could it be the fact i\'m using firefox browser?

no its prob doing that to everyone, maybe they already think that they have enough copies of it out for now? they do have enough bugs to last a while anyway.

perhaps they will change it back once some bugs get fixed, besides theres no real reason for playing right now since the servers will be wiped of everything so everyone has a fair start

WTF?!!

It is the second time I download the client. [the first one did not succeed due to a bug in the download manager]. There is nothing funny about donloading 200Mbs over and over again with a 3kB/s connection. I guess it just a small problem on the server, and we will be allowed to continue downloading the client . [and i don\'t give a F... about whether it is stable or  not. I wanna make sure it actually works]

If you can\'t get the client through the site, there are some alternative download sources now on the web, infact there\'s an announcement with some bittorrent links and server links on this forum :)

yes, go here for alternative download links, choose any except for the main planeshift.it link (atleast until this \"problem\" is cleared up)
