Title: Crash after exit from death realm

Every time. I can\'t enter to the game :)

Yeah, known issue. A warning to everyone: The safest way out of the Death Realm is by typing /spawn. I myself had this problem also.

Unfortunately you will need to be manually /spawned by an admin, and the admins are extremely busy as you can imagine...

Your best bet would be to join the Public Developer channel on IRC (server: irc.freenode.com, channel: #planeshift) and ask Vengeance, acraig, or chrischoo. If any of those people are present and able to help, they will. Just don\'t bug them if they don\'t respond, please... :)

I\'m having the same problem. Can\'t get to IRC either. Isn\'t there another way to solve it?

Easiest non GM solution is to reinstall CB and not run the updater.  The character will then load in the hydlaa plaza, as it should.

And Moogie, spawning to get out of the death realm instead of using the regular exit, doesn\'t work; you still wind up having the error.

Heh, I\'m glad I don\'t have crashes anymore (just bugs bugs bugs bugs and link deads) but if I do recall, the /spawn worked nicely.

I tried that...no luck...both my characters are stuck betwee life  and death :P...ohh...don\'t we all get put to hydlaa when server resets?

Heres the chain of events for me...

I get killed (dont ask!)

 about half the time I crash transfering to death realm, if so I relogin.

I walk to the death realm exit and crash.

Afterwards every attempt to login in crashes after I click the join game button.

Last time this happened (yesterday the last time I played) I asked if a GM could respawn Dewed Medewed
and today I was able to play.. till I died again.

Some tips...

#1 DON\'T DIE!!!!

#2 Logout and back in after any training, discoververy purchase or sale. Probably not a bad idea to do that before entering any new area.

#3 DONT DIE!!!!

#4 If you do die, try /spawn  if you are still in death realm, try logging out and back in before exiting.

So I\'ll ask again,  could a GM respawn Dewed Medewed again pretty please. I\'ll strive to head my own advice.

If its a MySQL backend I could probably write a cron launched script to look for symptoms of characters that need spawning.. course I\'d need to know alot more about the back end.

yes I get black screen and the only way out of it is to alt+tab then alt+F4 a couple times.
