Title: Combat System -{BUG}-
Post by: Enter_the_Xero on December 28, 2004, 06:40:51 pm: Well there were a lot of people trying to kill the Karkarass (Or whatever the demon was actually called)... The Karkarass did not attack anybody so I joined and started attacking, killed me in about 20 sec.. Here is the problem: I stopped attacking and walked away from the demon, yet somehow it still hit me... I say that if you walk away from the demon it should not be able to attack me, cuz it should not be able to reach me...

Also, whay was the demon only attacking me? There were two more pople battling it! Does it pick the strongest first and -does not- attack the weak? Or is it another bug?

Also, after being dead I reincarnated in the death realm as a dead body (I could move around and do stuff like a normal person but I was a dead lying body on the floor)-

You probably just didnt ran away enough cause I never saw that monster move an inch and it\'s not that possible that it can attack in distance. It should go after you, but it doesn\'t. The way it picks, I don\'t know, but it just attacks one, probably the first to hit him or the closest one.
About being a walking corpse, that\'s normal as well. Just exit your client and relog, it should be alright.

Post by: Luze on December 28, 2004, 07:20:47 pm: I have found out that the more damage your character is able to do is related to how often a monster responds to your attacks.

:( I know this because i do 20 damage per sword and every monster I fight will start to attack when I do.

Trepor didn\'t hit back, so I decided to come close, but as I came closer BOTH Trepors started running toward me, I barely ran away... And now the question... Why would Trepor hate me more than people fighting it...

How it is that when I attack Karkarass in DR i always inflict 0.00 damage when some other player inflicts usually around 10.00 ? I have 1 rank in sword and he had 4. Maybe thats matter of strenght?
I find it weird that i cant hurt that demon even in a small part. :]
