Title: New Guilds- Round 3
Post by: Kada-El on December 29, 2004, 10:38:04 pm: It\'s about time I added some of the promising newcomers to tavern (http://tavern.blueglyph.net/index.php) guild list.

Same simple rules as always, just vote for your favorite guild in the poll on the tavern main page (linked above), then when enough votes have been cast I will add those who have proven worthy to the list.

PM me if you think you been left off the list unfairly.

Note: you must be registered at the tavern to vote.

Also a couple of those guilds on the existing list are starting to look decidedly inactive, make sure your guild isn\'t one of them or they could be next for the chop! I will let CB settle down a bit before looking at the inactives.

The other guild worth considering is Fr?res des Ombres.
Third guild worth a look at: knowledge seekers. I\'m wondering about their memberlist updates, though.

I must say I agree with Monketh completely that Ovates and Brothers of the Shadows are the most interesting. Also the Sentinels...

Post by: Kada-El on December 30, 2004, 01:16:27 pm: That may be true Efflixi, but any guild that has already faded into inactivity isn\'t likely to get votes so will not make the list anyway, and the others deserve the chance to be voted on. Some of them have been around quite a while.

I\'ve added a late entry from Edhelgarth (http://www.internet-humain.org/fken/edhelgarth/index.php). The website was down when I was making the list. Sorry for leaving you out guys.

I voted for The Rangers of the Expidition because they have been around the longest and they have a great leader, Wisekran. Did people foret about this guild or somthing? It\'s been around since the first new guilds poll. I think they deserve to be on it by now. They also have a forum, good story, a unique goal, etc.

We, the Sentinels of the Ragnarok , have only been around for a couple of months but we have some good ideas and we are quickly working on our organization.

Post by: Valbrandr on December 30, 2004, 11:41:28 pm: I agree the group that should win is the Knowledge Seekers because they have been around longer then the rest and they have had time to organize, they have a good number of people, 24, and they are well-known.

In addition, they have some credible members like Lordbug (no offense Randalp, I just do not know you as well).

I asked all of my guild members and friends to vote for the brothers of the shadows instead of us.

And as a consequence : we refuse to be part of the third round. We are able to wait... this is considerated as a quality I think...

Poll conducted of registered users. Poll is on the main page.

Why? Kada\'s Guild list is the guild list.
The Official Unofficial guild list of Planeshift. Mostly because it is actually kept somewhat up-to-date. :P

The guild with the most votes will be put on the list. The scond place will be too, in this case with so many guilds a third may be added on too.

The guilds on the list will probably be the premeir guilds of PS and are the mojor guilds right now. Like my guild, Helmora Velsha :D

As to why they are voted on, it provides a very effective way of deciding which guilds make it to the list - a degree of quality control if you like. I used to add all guilds but that just resulted in a large list full of dead and inactive guilds which needed constant attention and editing.
I think the voting process also adds a little bit of healthly competition between new guilds and I hope maybe will encourage a better quality of guild in PS.

fken - I have deleted Edhelgarth from this round and will include you on the next, which shouldn\'t be too long after this round considering the number of guilds we have appearing.

I would like to thank all the persons who have voted for us and supported us. But I wish very good things to the other guilds that has entered the list. I am happy that we are not the only guild entering the list, because Raven Guard, Knowledge Seekers and Ovates really deserve to be there.

Its nice to know that our views and ideas are taken into consideration before being discounted:D
