Title: OS X
Post by: cjcollier on December 31, 2004, 06:07:36 pm
Hey all,

I\'m looking to build the client on OS X.  I got the server running just fine last night.  I\'m quite technical, so don\'t hold back now.

jam -q builds just fine, but running the .app from either the command line with \"open psclient.app\" or double clicking on it from the finder does nothing.

I copied the psclient binary to the build directory and attempted to run it there, but to no avail.  Well, to some avail, but after showing a splash screen, it fails with this error:

---
planeshift.application.client:
  psEngine initialized.

LoadSound:
Cannot create sound data from file
  \'/planeshift/art/music/gui/jingle_splash.ogg\'
Couldn\'t create Resource \'splash\'

StartSound:
  Sound \'splash\' not found!
Creating psnetconnection 11b1f70!

Initialize:
psEntityLabels failed to load font /this/data/ttf/verdana.ttf

LoadAttributes:
  Could not load font: >/planeshift/data/ttf/cupandtalon.ttf<

LoadWidget:
Widget CharPickerWindow failed to load pawsCharacterPickerWindow
Bus error
---

Whee.
