When logging in, PlaneShift\'s MOTD sometimes say: \"there are six different ways, magicks to use in the planeshift world\"
The problem is that the magic shop only sells four glyphs, and there is not even a description for them. The glyphs are expensive, and buying a glyph that I cannot use cause it\'s the wrong magick way does not feel very amusing...
What do the glyphs do, and what ways are them?

The Crystal Way glyph casts Missle, and the Animal glyph doesn\'t do anything yet. That\'s all I know about the glyphs.
Wait for the developers to add more content to the game and to fix the descriptions. :)

Is there any glyph for the Azure Way?

I\'ve just crash 3 times trying to get to the magic shop. I\'m not sure what glyphs are sold at this point, but you could always see the full list of them, just carefully check the PS section on your computer... ;)

Isn\'t a great part of the uniqueness of Planeshift\'s magic system based on you having to experiment with different glyph combinations to find spells? Don\'t ask for descriptions, Themerion. Aske more skilled mages or look in books when they are implemented if you don\'t want to experiment.

Ways and corresponding implemented glyphs:
Dark-Weakness, Brown-Animal, Blue-Freeze, Crystal-Summon Missile, Azure-none, Red-none

Brown=Animal
Blue=Freeze
Crystal=Summan missile
Azure=none (YET)
Red=FLAME!!!!!!!
Red now has a flame burst spell (when you purify the glypht that is)

Well that list isn\'t quite complete either but I \'m not going to give away the right list on public here.

Right now there are 6 glyphs, one for each way.
You\'ve got to scroll down in order to be able to see all the glyphs, probably that\'s why you only see 4 of them.

Unless the devs took it out, the AZURE makes a cool swirly thing around your character that basically increases your armor value.

before the wipe i actually had 7 different glyphs... but thats another story.

Here it is the actual status of the glyphs before the wipe :
A: There are 6 magic ways each one influenced by a certain mental stat and a coresponding spell.
Chrystal Way - Charisma - Summon Missle
Dark Way - Charisma - Weakness
Azure Way - Will - Defensive Wind
Red Way - Will - Flame Burst
Brown Way - Intelligence - Armour
Blue Way - Intelligence - Cold

Is it possible yet to combine glyphs? I got four different now and I have reached level 1 in 5 ways, but there is no combination that gives me a new spell. I only got the basic spells of the single glyphs.
Must I have one glyph per spell (and at least two additional for a combined one)? This would become _really_ expensive. Or do I need a level > 1 to get combined spells.
I suppose I will get new spells when combining two identical glyphs, right?
I did not find answers in the manual or the forums..

Old thread..... and no, the last time I played you still couldn\'t combine the glyphs.
I was with a dev in the arena during the testing of the new glyphs. There\'s a healing spell, a more powerful dark spell called plague or something which is like weakness only more powerful and possibly ranged, and there\'s a snazy new red spell which looks like a more powerful version of flameburst.

Life infusion
Taste of death
and a defensive red way spell
also if yuou combine the energy glyph (life infusuion spell)
with the arrow glyph (summon missile)
it makes \'Energy missile\' spell, a little stronger :)
so combinations do work, but are not available
