do intelligent extra terresrials exist and if they do, would they be more or less advanced??

They exist for sure. They might be 10000000000000000000000000 lightyears away, but they exist.
I think they wont be as advanced as us but you cant really judge it cuz we will both have things the other doesnt.

chances are extra terestrial life is just goen to be little shrimp things and little bugs lol.
they could be smarter depending on evolution ect...like humans.

They do indeed exist and some are less advanced while others are 1,000\'s of years more advanced than humans. These so called aliens do not look that much different from humans considering what humans really are.
But here is another question. If aliens arrived on Earth would they be attacked? would people cower in fear? or would we try to comminicate peacefully?

well what sect would you like to know about? i have anywhere from basic to advanced info on about 5 known races... i can find info on all know races (its about 9-15 know races isn\'t it?)

It depends, whether you are of the school of thought whichholds to the idea of 1 exponentially increasing universe, or a multiverse which is constructed of layers and planes and different dimensions. If you believe in the sole universe theory then life has major problems being created. This is supposed to be linked to the whole different climatic effects upon atoms etc. Currently the multivers way of thininkg is having more and more proof to its claims. Although I like to think the idea of dimensional shift is possible/will be possible, many dispute it.
Life itself is a tough question to ask. Do you mean sentient life?
If life does exist out there, from our point in the cosmos I think there would be life forms out there that are both...It depends on how far away from the core of the universe in which they are found. Time plays an important part in the advancement of a species!

It\'s the nature of Human Beings, we need to feel comfortable. And by naming something it makes us feel as if we know what it is a little more.

The term \'alien\' refers to any unknown living thing, really.
There are life on other planets, in fact. I don\'t now about little green men but astronaughts have found a form of algae(or something like it) growing on cave walls on mars. I forget the scientific name of the stuff but they nicknamed it gorilla poop because that\'s what it looked like when it was grown thick enough.
The same stuff is on earth. But. Yeah. THis was on Mars. SO there\'s your ET.

Thinking about this, maybe we haven\'t had contact with anything extra-terrestrial for a particular reason.
Maybe Earth has been put on some kind of quarantine list by some kind of Galactic council?
Now I\'m a skeptic by nature, but think about it. Look at the state our planet is in right now.... Imagine the damage that we\'d cause to other planets!

right now i think that they are learning some of our languages, but i think that a few do exist, like flying saucers??? they are airodynamic and grays??? stories of them everywhere along with the soposed half breeds,
i do not belive rosswell had to do with aliens, area 51 was probably and is probably a nuclear base with armed ships, also it houses the aurora planes (some kick- ass planes)

About Area 51, doesnt anyone else find it a little bizarre that one of the most \'secret\' sites in the world is one of the most talked about?
If you wanted to delve deeper I\'m pretty sure tha you\'d find that that is a smokescreen for those who want to draw attention to things, whilst distrcting the media attention from the real items of research.
To be honest so what?! As long as it produces better sciences which as a whole will help with the our future survival, then that should surely be a benefit?
But if the research and construction of said technological breakthroughs affects our existence in any way then they should be stopped.
The hype thats surrounded Roswell in the past is the perfect cover for anything. The ideas that people form when not given all the real information are astounding...
All theorists on the speculation of \'revealed information\' are helping to keep the smoke screen and hype about the truth going...Its a perfect self-sustaining machine :D

Actualy we are not on a \"quarantine list\" we just aren\'t very \"sentient\" ..we are... but not enough to warrent any relations (groups will contact induviduals.. that are able to handle the knowledge) to most races anyway the grey/U.S. allience is slowly making itself known.. and its to the detriment of humans.. but i digress.. and WHAT mythical races? i am very helpful but i often need an exaple (i i know of more then just one way to do things a simple question like \"how does a lightbulb work\" will cause me to ask.. halogen, arc, LED or regular?) as i know of about 20 mythical races of the past.. some real some not :P once you specify i can be further help.. do you mean races like Anubites? or races like Atlantiens?

Depends on the way you look at the term \'Mythical\' being a adjective it has more than one meaning.. It could mean \'Occuring in or characteristics of myths or folk tales\', or \'Imaginary and not real\'.
But I\'ve always thought along the lines that a story must have had some origin, and it\'s proving whether or not the origin of that story is based on truth. And, whether that truth has been continued throughout that particular stories life.
I mean we all know what Chinese Whispers can do!
Conversely the story could have been based on an untruth, and then where would we be?

Ya\'ll are on the COMPLETELY false assumtion alien life would be carbon based ;) silicon based life can live almost anywhere... so when you say many planets cannot support life that is totaly false... some planets cannot support CARBON based life.. thats all
EDIT: also why would scientists leave their loved ones to go to the north pole and sometimes freeze to death O.o? for science.. also said alien group \"greys\" could make the trip here in about 3-4 days to a few weeks depending on the ship so :P

Very well put. I was thinking about somthing like this a few days ago.
Well the world would break into chaos. Some just because they have the chance. Devoted religon people would pray. Others would hid in bomb shelters and some would plan to attack.
For all we know aliens dont even know what a \"war\" or \"fight\" is becausre there not dumbasses like we are.
I think futurama put it best. In the future WE will be the invading aliens.
