Title: Create-a-Character help.
Post by: outlawed on January 09, 2005, 12:50:09 am
Well, first things first, when I start the client, it doesn\'t go to full screen, as I can still see a small percentage of the top bar and the start bar.

Second, when the main menu pops up, there are no graphics, but sometimes it is blue, sometimes black, and sometimes green.

Third, and most important, I can\'t get passed the first step in create a character.  When I click on a race, a transparent box pops up to describe the class, and it locks up clicking every thing else on the page, other than the scroll thing for it to read the text.  There are no visible ways to click out of it.
I also cannot type a character name.  See below screenshot
(sorry for the bad quiality of the ss)

Thanks for reading this, and I hope someone can resolve this problem soon.

There is no close button, it\'s an ok button below the text. But honestly if you have that screen as character creation I think you should solve that fist before going in game, becaue probably it\'ll get worse.

First i advice you to update your video card driver. Maybe it\'ll solve your problem... :P

Then, have you make an update of PS? If not, use the \"update\" program shortcut.

and next could you tell us on which system are you running into?

You\'re obviously missing a lot of the ingame Icons, I\'d run the updater or try a re-install (you do not need to de-install prior to this).

First things first:  I have run the updater, and I have updated my video card.

And I\'m basically a computer idiot...so when you say what system...do you mean like Win XP?  Or my specs?

I\'m still oblivious to what that is.  As I stated, I\'m a computer idiot.
