Title: Getting weapons/armor (gear) and money..?

Hello guys,
I\'m a bit stuck with this one. I\'m completely new to PlaneShift and I like it. But I think things would be easier if I know how to get my hands on some gear weapons, armor) and (important as well) money.
i\'ve already made my first kill (yup, a rat and a 2nd one got me :() but didn\'t get any money out of that one...

This is not runescape. The rats don\'t carry money (sure, trust me :P). You should loot their hide and eye by right-clicking on the corpse and click loot (the sac icon).


When you got somewhat 50 hides and eyes, go to the smith or the herbalist (on top of Kada El\'s, that\'s nearer to the exit of the sewers) or any other npc you can sell to. This will give you 350 tria... Enough to buy you a broadsword and some training. You could also kill 15 rats (105 tria), buy yourself a rock pick and start mining, a boring activity, but safe, and when you trained a bit it might get lucrative.  Armour isn\'t implemented yet, but you can buy shields in Ojaveda.

Note: the shield aren\'t true shields but disguised swords. hopefully real shields will be implemented after the database wipe.

In this line of thinking I was wondering that all had been implimented.
Someone just said no armor - what about blunt weapons?
I\'m playing a dwarf and perfer maces for RP reasons.

And has the majic been implimented yet? I saw some... not reagents, whatever they are called here, for sell, but have not seen anybody useing them.

also - the \"shields disguised as swords\" comment - does that mean they are shields but useing sword graphics?


and the city Ojaveda, is that where the road out of town goes?

There aren\'t blunt weapons yet, only swords and axes. There also isn\'t any armor and about that shield thing: you are wearing a  sword that looks like a shield.
Magic is already implemented but it is expensive and so it is rare to see.
if you want to find out where the road leads too and where the dungeon is i have one tip: Explore :). It is one of the best things of a rpg
