Title: Familiarizing myself with the code.
Post by: Aravi on January 16, 2005, 06:40:34 pm
Any tips, references, or the like you guys may have to offer me.

I\'m planning on familiarizing myself with the Planeshift code, and hopefully making a few contributions myself (time available will influence this).

Cool, thanks, I take it you\'re responsible for the net-code :P.

One other question, whats the go on using a personal server (only you can access it) to test out any code or other creations you may have come up with?

Cool, given the license terms I thought I should check.

With a personal server, you\'re only supposed to be using your own art and not the PS art/content.  (I believe those are the terms of the license).

The server & client code can be used by anyone, for anything, as long as it doesn\'t mess with the PS art/data rights.

You download CS/CEL/PS code and compile it on your computer.
Then you run it on your localhost.
