Title: What is wrong with the auctioning?

in the thread http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=13710&boardid=13&styleid=3&sid=14e643fe5b798f9c0324920ca77fb3b9   someone was talking about a transaction he was completing with a fellow player and how he was muted, one such reason said was so as not to have an auction market like ruinscape.  I\'m just wondering on how his way of going about to sell his spare items was wrong and how else are you supposed to do it (I would have posted there but the thread has already been lock\'d)?

Maybe using PMs.... but then you\'ll be getting PMs even after selling the item.
Or maybe GMs are grumpy because I keep telling them how GMing sucks... and they know I\'m right, so they have to get their anger out on somebody :P
