I cannot kill a monster with Freeze spell alone anymore - I used to be able to do that before the spell/xp thing was fixed.
In short you get your Gobble or smth to low hp, like 1 or 2%, cast freeze, the monster hp decreases, about 1 percent a second, for 5 seconds - but it doesn\'t kill the monster - monster just stays with 0 hp for 2 or 3 seconds and then regenerates again.
could be intended though.

Freeze does -1hp per second. Utterly useless, and I imagine most monsters regenerate at a faster rate than that. :) So it doesn\'t suprise me.
-
You are missing the point - I freeze Gobble faster than it regenerates, but it still doesn\'t die.

I \'m sorry to dig up this old post but it \'s better than making a new one on the subject.
I \'ve gotten a bit annoyed with the freeze spell as well though. I \'m not sure if this is a bug or just an imbalance in the game but I cannot even damage a rat with a freeze spell. What happens is when it is cast the rat\'s hp will go down to about 85% and then when the spell wears off all damage done will just disappear. So the rat\'s hp shoots up to 100% instantaneously afterwards.
If this isn\'t a bug I suggest making it so that when a creature is under the effect of freeze it doesn\'t regenerate it\'s lifepoints at least.

thats been around for months. My advice, dont bother with the dumb spell

Hmm that would make Blue way mages totally useless for now.
But the attack penalty seems to work with me.

I guess there would be no point for mages but the fact is, the bugs in the magic system arent quite worked out yet.
