What would be the best out there, I don\'t have a lot of money for this, so I was looking at the wacom graphire3 4x5, but is there anything cheaper that is also good quality?

Anything from Trust is high quality and works very well. :) I wouldn\'t suggest getting a tiny tablet if you are serious about wanting something you can actually draw with. I have a 12x9 inch myself. I can\'t imagine having something as small as 4x5... I\'d be constantly scrolling the screen just to draw something. :P

I think I will go with the trust 1200 9x12 usb tablet, looks good, and is a lot more space for the same (almost) amount of money. Thanks!

I have an E3 Works 4x5 and have no trouble, I just use PSP and zoom in and make where I\'m drawing centered, the scrolling isn\'t that bad.

That\'s exactly the same as mine. :) I think you will be happy with it. I got mine for ?65, after seeing it in other places for ?70 and ?75... so make sure you hunt around and get the best price you can find.

I got a A6 wacom for about 100 euro\'s last year, loved it, untill I tried (and bought) the A4 version. Worth every damn cent, was something like 300 euro\'s.

I gather this means size does matter. :D
I have a 4x5 in. graphire2 and I feel quite constrained, perhaps also because of the only 512 levels of pressure sensitivity. I think I should have gone with a larger Intuos tablet.
The moderately large Intuos3\'s I see on ebay still seem quite expensive to me...

too true, bigger is better in the case of computer tablets.

Mine\'s about A5 size (WACOM).
I find it\'s actually big enough because I\'m mostly only drawing short lines, not doing broad sketching style work with it where I might find myself heading off the edge. I guess it\'s also the way I have it set up - I tend to lift and move back a lot - I don\'t have it matching my screen / documents dimensions. For sketching simple stuff in Flash or Painter or Photoshop it\'s fine though. I know someone with the small version (4x5 i guess) and she doesn\'t have a problem with the size - I guess it\'s what you get used to though. I don\'t think the size is as important as how good the stylus feels and how many levels of pressure it has. I had an old cheapie tablet years ago from some taiwanese fly-by-night company which had great response but the shittiest stylus with akward buttons (and it was a serial device). If at all possible go to a shop and try one out at a real computer before buying it off ebay.

Well, the size part for me, mostly doesn\'t matter, I usually draw little things anyway, but since I can get a good quality 9x12 for the price of a good quality 4x5, I am naturally just going with the larger option. You tablet might have actually been a hitachi, great tablet quality, but yes, crappy stylus\'s.
