Title: multiple exp. options
Post by: zenix on January 20, 2005, 05:53:07 pm
this doesn\'t fit anywhere else but it\'s a problem so i put it here.

i found thatthings like mining don\'t provide exp. this means that people need to fight to gain exp. this realy is unrealistic because sinse when did someone become a better miner by killing rats(note: this game says breaking the realism is against the rules)i know you gain \"practical\" experience through mining but you gain \"practical\" experience through killing things this may seem a minor issue now but eventual will lead to massive problems with warroirs being over powered and that will lead to over used this happens in most balenced games anyway but the effect will be greater if the game is leanient towards them aswell i think it would be a nice break to see a game where warroirs wern\'t the majority

P.S. if there is a more appropriate place for this thread please move it but this seemed the right place to me

Ahrg somehow even I get sick of the \"It is soo stupid that mining doesnt provide exp.\"

Damn the Devs are working their butts off, they cant make any faster,

and you all forget that CB is a PRE-ALPHA.

Its not a full game.

i know it\'s in alpha testing (i didn\'t think you could get \"pre-alpha\")but it bugs me and even if this is fixed charecters can overpower in this time(if charecters are kept when it goes gold
while im here i think that progression points are to genral and individual skills should have their own specific \"progression points\" or levels

well i don\'t know if it\'s already final, but i got experience from mining...

i was mining to complete a quest and i realised that my experience changed (can\'t say how much), and an \"advisor\" confirmed to me that you get experience from mining...

but i defenitly agree with you...experience is not just fighting...like exploring for example, it could give you experience (a mile counter or special check points or areas discovered...)
