Title: join the fight, take out the l337ians before they take us out!
Post by: Black_rose on January 20, 2005, 11:04:58 pm
a force that has many names, l337ians, n00bs, beggers ect. ect. is attacking our fair game and destroying it\'s people. ps was once a calm game of people just playin hide and go seak, it now has people playin dicifer the l337, we must try to reform the offenders before we shun them out, join the fight and help. i am looking for great strategies here are some.

what to do if you are getting mass begged.

step one,
do not respond
step two,
say \"get your own\"
step three,
contace a gm or a dev if it is relentless....

all other suggestions to help these misguided players who need reforming

Alright folks, there are now a bit too many threads concerning this topic. I realize that it\'s a sensitive topic to many, and a lot of people have ideas on how to prevent this from exploding into a bigger phenomenon, but Black Rose, there was no need to start another thread when you could have just added this onto Moogie\'s.

I actually share my wealth with those who seem to be in need. And I\'m going to keep doing it.

As for the \"l337ians\" it must be creation of your imagination. I never met any of them.

Just on that note, I didn\'t create my thread to cause tensions; I created it because it addressed a real problem in an RP way. It was totally RP, as are most of the replies (although people are starting to talk OOC now). I want to encourage RP and boost the moral of our loved friends here, who may be feeling the wave of newbies, who probably have never heard the word \"roleplay\" before, is becoming too much for them to stand.

I would prefer it to stay RP :) but I\'ll not stop people discussing methods and measures they can use to encourage roleplaying ingame, and at the same time shun the \"l33ts\".

GMs will take reasonable measures to ensure RPers and non-RPers don\'t clash horribly. But we can\'t realistically kick everyone out who doesn\'t roleplay- what a terrible name we would give PS for doing that. As long as we stay free from griefers and \"leet\"speakers, things will be fine, and things need not be blown out of proportion.
