It is my first yafray render, it is actually messed up, the blue cube shouldn\'t be there, I forgot to change it, but my computer is so slow I didn\'t want to re-render it :D
Here you be, my cubes:

Crits welcome, although there isn\'t much to crit in a picture that has some cubes, and a plane :D

Thanks, I still don\'t get what xd means though, gogle doesn\'t help, I feel stupid :D
-
Jelly, it looks great. I\'m glad you didn\'t change the blue cube. I think it really works. I\'m a heavy minimalist and I love it. Kudos.
:emerald:

Thanks for the complements, I like minimalist stuff too, I also like arrays and such, like thousands of hexagons arranged in order (of course I won\'t try that, my computer would never render it :D )
-
Does a bunch of cubes have anything to do with PS? ?(
-
Sorry, I wasn\'t sure wether to post it in hydlaa or fan art, I shou;d re render it with the ps logo on a cube :D
-
Yeah, the blue cube is what pulls the whole image together. You wouldn\'t have a composition without it.
-
Thank you, now I am going to go fins a ps logo and stick it on a cube :D

Heh, thats true. Make it green though. Then it would even more cool. :P
-
I disagree. Gray and orange make the best combination ;)

*looks at Karyuu\'s sig*
I see...

I will do both, when I have 4 hours to spare :D yes, it did take two hours to render on my computer. (Now if I had my mom\'s 2.6ghz p4, well, ) Bute here is some more cube-y goodness, with more of those blue cubes you people seem to enjoy :D

Edit: Notice the much deeper reflection now, I am not sure what did that, I think it was an option in the material buttons, hmm.. I am not quite satisfied with it, yet I don\'t have the processing power to do it again, I need to get a better computer! :|

oh thats actually pretty cool.
no joke i like it.
oh what would look coool is filling the whole space with cubes (so put likes heaps in) then i cuold use it as my background wallpaper (if you dont mind of coarse)
but seriously though aye its cool.
any different matterials to render with ?

I still have absolutely no idea what this is... cubes... fascinating... no offense, Jelly. :P I\'m just one of these silly people who think \"modern art\" is a very, very poor excuse for people with no talent to make lots of money.
*goes to draw some random circles*
Oh, and on that note, probably should be in Hydlaa rather than here.
-
Hmm. I like the first one better. It\'s less cluttered, simpler, and the incidental blue cube just... fits. Not saying that the second piece isn\'t good, but my personal preference is the first one.
-
Thanks for the compliments people, and thank you for moving it moogie. Also, it isn\'t supposed to be modern art, I am just learning how yafray works. Here are the orange and green cube versions for their respectful lobbiers :D
Green:

And orange:

The orange color didn\'t come out as bright as I though it would though.
Also, not to suck up or anything, but I don\'t really appreciate modern art either, but I do like simplistic and array art.

Granted, there is a lot of ego-stroking going on in many modern galleries, but there is much more meaning to most contemporary art pieces than one would think at first. For example, a lot of people would immediately think of paint splattered on a canvas and labeled as a finished piece to be ridiculous. However, Jackson Pollock, who started the action painting movement, had the energy of the artist as the subject matter for such work, and the properties of paint itself.
Contemporary art is not all spontaneous non sequitor crap - there is a lot going on behind the media used which people do not pick up on and dismiss without further thought.
Of course, I don\'t mean that JellyWerker had any grand significance to his cubes in mind, but my point stands XD

And yes, I am in love with the orange cube. Thank you for going through that 2 hour hell to render it :D
-
What do you think of your orange cube karyuu? I spent 2 hours to render it, just for you :D now don\'t you feel special! :D
