Hey!
And what good would that do???
Then you would have an up-to-date-client and no server to connect to!!!!11one
Also there are many changes on the server side you won\'t even notice. Only when the network protocol/messages that are sent between the clients change, versions become incompatible. This is one of the rather rare occasions, you\'ll survive.

If your not happy get a refund and leave. Either you can do that or you can wait patiently and not yell at the devs. They do a great job

Ok Srry...
But when the update will be available???
-
there\'s a sticky post about it:
http://planeshift.oodlz.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=13164&boardid=33&page=7
The problem is also that
- many changes were made since the last update, for me (windows) the updater downloaded more than 15 MB
- there\'s only one person there who can maintain/maintains the Mac release (dfryer), and when he alone has to cope with all the changes the other people made, well ... you know :)
-
Most likely time for an update is in the next 2-3 days. School is getting busy, and I want to at least try to release a *working* version this time, with a few bugs fixed.
Sorry that you\'re all out in the cold, but until we have a fairly automatic process for preparing updates there may be some delays.
Thanks,
Daniel

OT: Even this is the net, it doesn\'t mean you\'re not submitted to obay normal writing rules, like one question mark.
Do we normaly give dates/times when something is done? (The answer is no if you can\'t figure it out)
