Title: Huge Problem trying to stay in PS
Post by: maussdahauss on January 24, 2005, 04:20:49 am
Ok.....here\'s the story.
Everytime that I try and do something on PS, I get an error message that says this \"\"Something Unexpected Happened in PS: CrystalBlue     Exception at Address: 7C00724A, Exception Code: C0000005                Would You Like to Save Diagnostics File?              Yes   No\"\"           It bugs the crap outta me and i have no way to do anything on it anymore.  If someone can help my...I\'d be MUCH more than happy.

                                                                                    Thx

A link to the dump file it asked you to create is infinitely more useful to us than just complaining that it happened. :)
Title: Oh.. I'll try and get you that.

BUT I just need 2 know how I can give U the link of the dump file, or where it is located. I\'m not a complete moron when it comes 2 computers, but I\'m not familiar with the files  of this game yet.

You can find it in the Planeshift folder, it has a rather long name with the date in it, the file extension is \".dmp\"

....but there is still last obstacle. How do I open up the dump file? I click on it 2 open and it gives me one of those annoying messages that say \"Windows doesnt know how to open the file.....Windows needs to know hwo it was created.... find on web or open w/ another device\", everone knows the message im talking about. So how do I get past this?

You shouldn\'t need to open the dump file if you aren\'t a developer.

You host it, and then give us a link to it, using [URL][/URL] tags.

If you attatch the dump file to an email to me I can host it for you.

My address is timgiffney@xtra.co.nz

Alternatively you could email it to a dev, I guess.

No, you can upload directly to free sites like silentwhisper.

Alternatively you can upload it to your own website.
