Title: Computer crashes
Post by: sashok on January 27, 2005, 06:18:17 pm
It\'s funny, I just build a new computer with gig of ram and 256 ati 9800 pro graphics card and the game with computer crashes during few minutes of planeshift.

I don\'t think something is wrong with the graphic card since I played other games and so far no problems.  I also updated both directx and ati driver.

What\'s wrong?

Hi,

Don\'t you get a dump file from which it will be easier for the developers to understand what causes the crash?

Also, which is your OS?

Yes I have tried updating ps and suprising I was able to play maybe 5 minutes this time until I crashed again.

I am running windows xp service pack 2.
ATI radeon pro 256 mb .  Is there some graphic card features that I should turn off when playing PS?

I also tried full screen and window screen, both same result.

Hi,
Does it create a .dmp file? If yes, post it in one of the \"highlighted\" threads of this forum,

Ary

No dump files created.  PS does not give any errors, it\'s just the game is not compatible with my video card
Or who knows..

I don\'t know if this is valid for you at all, try to slow your AGP down inside the bios, My motherboard has AGP4x support but hardlocks, so I went to AGP2x and all was well.. seemingly anyway.
