i have been having prob\'s with planeshift and had to uninstall it.
now everytime i download the game and try to install my computer tell\'s me that some file\'s are corrupt.
someone told me that i might have a virus that is reinfecting the file/file\'s but i have ran a check with multiple antivirus program\'s and they all come up clean.
i am thinking that there are file\'s in my computer that don\'t go away when i uninstall the game but i can\'t for the life of me find any .
i\'m not the most computer ilit person so if anyone can give me some advice on what i could or should do please tell me ?(

I am not sure if this is how the windows version works... but have you made sure the planeshift folder was removed after un-install?

i have removed everything i can find planeshift related in my computer. i could just format my computer but i just went thru that not too long ago and it would be a pain to do it again.
maybe if there was a removal tool out there somewhere i could use then i would try that.

Sounds like the download manager symptome.
You should check the MD5 sum (available on the DL page, includign a tool for doing so) in order to see if the installer actually is corrupted or if the problem is your computer. If it is corrupted, then try downloading it without a download manager. Might also be a MIME type problem (the browser might think it\'s text, and convert the LF chars to CR+LF, obviously damaging the binary file). Force binary mode if possible.

Yes, it\'s a DOS program. :P
You need to use a DOS window to call it, and to supply the filename to be summed. ;)
Edit: There is also a windows program doing the same thing, which can be found here (http://md5summer.org/). :)

It\'s not a DOS program, it just lacks a GUI

Yes, it actually is a \"console application\". Looks like DOS, feels like DOS, but isn\'t, as becomes apparent when trying to run it in plain DOS. Nit-picker! :P
And it was \"DoS\" as in \"denial of service\" for rumblebelly ;) (I know that \"DoS\" is something quite different). :D
@ rumblebelly: Glad that it works now. Another example that shows that magic that comes from certain libraries tends to be susceptible to disruption of it\'s matrices by faulty but unrelated spells. :)
