Title: priviledges and rogue title : reorganisation wish
Post by: fken on January 31, 2005, 08:13:44 am
Could somebody tell me why some people use their right to create a special topics which can be seen before every other guilds ?

Could somebody tell me why the new guilds have nothing interesting to write in their title but : \"a new funny guild\" \"if you wanna join a guild come here\" and so one ???

I really am thinking this place start to sucks... please classify the guilds by writting a page for every specificity :
threads like alliances, bards guilds, war guild, mage guild, and so one and stop trying to be before every others guilds cause youll see that sooner than you think the other GM, forum moderator and devs will do the same... do you think there are privilegdes?

I\'m not sure if i got your point about unfair privileges. Do you mean the featured guild stickies??
Those are not that unfair since they are the result of voting.

You\'re right about the fact that a lot of contentless new guilds pop up from time to time, which can be annoing sometimes. On the other hand it can be quite funny to see what kind of stupid ideas people come up with.

Yes I think it would greatly increase the organization of guild information.  But you have problems with the guilds that are not as clearly defined and have vague goals or reasons.

And about the new guild thread names, they reflect the organization and feeling of the guild.  The titles that just state \"New guild, come join\" will not get the readers that more discriptive and creative ones do.

The way the forums are now is fine.  There are numerous lists located all over (See thebbb.tk) that list the guilds.  This is just a place to advertise guilds and recruit.  The higher ups have already stated that the Guilds Forums will not be getting sub forums.

If a guilds topic name is obscure no one will look at it, thus no one will join, thus it will die out soon as will the obscure topic names.  There are no rules stating what the topic has to be therefore they can name them whatever they want.

It is possible for me to edit the topic names, but I\'m not going to.

Go through hundreds of threads, changing their topics to something I think is appropriate?  No.  :]

Are you really sure ??? cause I think the last one has no vote!

And having a vote isnt difficult you just have to vote for yourself...

fken, I conducted the Featured Guild Voting.  Anyone who voted had to notify me personally with that vote.  I allowed only one vote per person and no voting for one\'s own guild.

It was a fair vote.
