Title: umm is it normal that.....

#1 i see no one around where i begin
#2 dont hear a single sound
#3 i dont even look like the character i choose in the creation menu

 ?(    well now im pretty lost in the town and dont know what to do.....   plz someone help me.......... ;(

Yes, yes it is.
No one is around because there is little, you can do in the game at this moment. So people do not stay fro very long, maybe 5-10 min tops. I do not know if you are supposed to hear any sounds, because i can not hear any either. And finally, there are only 3 races in the game, Dwarfs, Ynnwns, and those cat-like creatures, so if you chose anything else, you become a dwarf automatically. ;(

Actually they have the sound fix on the main page:

Version 0.1.004

- Someone reported that there\'s no sound on the game! You can enable sounds modifying the file psclient.cfg located in planeshift main dir. Just remove the \';\' at the start of the System.PlugIns.iSoundRender, your file should look like this:

; Sound renderer
System.PlugIns.iSoundRender = crystalspace.sound.render.software

uh yeah but how do we open this file? i know im sux pretty much at computing but i really need to know this or i wont be able to change the file   :D

umm k ive been able to heard the sound now but another problem appeard now lol.....  now i cant even withe or click on the wrinthing bar to talk to other..... ;(

1. yes, the most people usually online is about 5 to 6.
2. sound fix, main page. I don\'t care about sound really  :P
3. I forgot what you asked.... lemme check again.
Oh yeah! Only...2 or 3, i forget, races are available...
the dwarf dude the the dog dude that starts with \"e\".

About the selecting text box error you were encountering,

This randomly occurs from time to time for me, just try quitting the game and leaving it for about 10 minutes then start again. I don\'t know why you have to leave it for 10 minutes, if I leave then join again it doesn\'t work but if I leave it for 10 minutes it does.
