Title: Wrong client version

Hi,

i just installed the game on my computer, on windows xp. now when i want to log into the game i get the following message:

you are not running the correct version of planeshift for this server.

on the servermenu there is only shown a server named Fragnetics, no other to choose.

im using CBV0.3.006

help please

ok i used search function and started the updater:P

first it updated the updater, then it said i have to start updater again to update the client , but updater wont start anymore..there is shown a window where is said that there is a problem and the program has to be closed, and im asked to send a report to microsoft etc.

what can i do ?

edit: i found the mistake. the updater was running in the background and i didnt see that and tried to start it again lol
forgive me, its 5:30 am here and i just finished my 2nd cup of coffee;)

Hey,

I have a similar problem as you.

When I run the client I get the same error as you did, though when I ran the updater the updater restarted as the same version and keep downloading the same update.

Where can I find the UPDATER online as a stand alone download. I think mine is broken.

It doesn\'t download the same update, the devs forget to tick the version number up when it changes. If you really believe it isn\'t going to stop updating the same things, quit and try again.

I\'ve tried restarting it, but the same thing keeps happening..

It tells me that it is updating the updater.. over and over and over and well you get the point.

I have the same problem.

OK, they forgot to up the version number ? What should the version number to play on the server be ? Surely we can just edit it by hand and play, since the game is fully updated ?

Can someone tell me what the version number should be ?

Juvecu,

Copy all the files from the \"tempupdater\" folder and overwrite everything in the parent directory, then rerun the updater. Should work. ;)

I had the exact same problem and if you did too then do the following steps to fix it:

1. Open my computer.
2. Open program files
3. Open planeshift file (not setup).
4. Look for icon that is named updater.
5. Open updater
6. Sit back and watch it do its work. It will ask for you to click OK every once in a while.

After the update is complete then your set to go. I have the same name for the forum as the game. You all can thank me later!
