Title: 1 and 2 swords
Post by: sonshadowcat on February 03, 2005, 10:26:48 pm
I just got 2 broadswords and I noticed something, I swing much slower when I equip both yet do the same damage. Is that how it\'s supposed to be? I don\'t notice a damage increase with a sword period...which makes me thing the coders haven\'t implemented weapon damage. Is that so?

One other thing, I was thinking of getting an axe, anyone have anything to say about axes over broadswords?

You attack slower with swords than with only your fists, how much slower depends on the mass and size of the weapon. Bigger weapons tend to do more damage if you can use them successfully though.

Swords work fine, but without skill in the art of using it, you will do little damage, you have to train sword skill to get good damage with the swords.

Axes seems a little faster than swords, but also seems to do less damage(but I haven\'t used axes in a while so I am not sure if this still apply)

I tried to train sword skills...but it trained in repair skill instead and now ALL of my points are gone( i didnt even have enough money to waste all of them), I had 5.

Do you do more damage with 2 swords? Or should I sell 1 and train?

And about the sword thing, I don\'t exactly do more damage with a sword than my fists, its still horrible damage. The axe costs more than the broadsword so I would assume it does more damage...

I carry 2 swords and my dmg output is much better .. I trained to the max for my level in swords, so instead of the puny 0.98 dmg I was doing, I am now slobberknocking rats for around 7.98+ damage on \"bloody\".

the damage you do also depends on your strength.and you must have accidently press on the wrong button when it trained repair skill instead of sword skill.

Thanks. I\'m not sure if I should go sword or axe at the moment.  The axe should do more damage because it costs more but if I can get more training in swords, ill do nice with my 2 broadswords....

Also, is there any other place to hunt rats? I can never find a rat that isn\'t dead, theyre always been killed as soon as they spawn. The spawn rate/number of rats needs to increase a lot.

How much does it cost to train 1 point?

training sword is an absolute must, if i may say.
Coz youre not strong enough without a sword to do enough damage to bigger creatures.

Training axe would help damage too....everyone seems to ignore the axe o.o;

I being the dwarf that i am consider axes to be the best thing since batman... but then it depends upon your style... if you want to deal ALOT of damage in one hit go for axes but if you want to deal a little bit of damage but hit REALLY fast go for swords...

(AXES are COOLER!):D

?( ?( ?( I am trying to figure if you are serously asking on this subject, or if you only try to add one more post to your list of posts, anyway. IMHO I believe that you need less posting and more reading (the user\'s guide specially). ;)

Sorry my bad english

Salu2.
