Title: Latest Patch
Post by: Halcyonlynx on February 03, 2005, 11:38:21 pm: I got off the server when the reboot was announced, then began my update as soon as possible. The updater updated to the new version, but when it restarted, WinXP gave me an error message before it fully initialized.

I tried restarting it multiple times. No improvement. I reinstalled everything from the original install download. After sucessfully running the old updater, it updated to the newest version again. Again, the updater crashed before full initialization and just won\'t do crap.

Am I the only person having this problem? And is there a fix for it?

Post by: Alamar on February 03, 2005, 11:44:59 pm: If this has happened your gonna have to reinstall, its a bad updater. Keep your original download file so you can reinstall quickly. The problem is in the new build.

Lets stop kicking a dead horse, if you are getting this error you obviously need to reinstall. Anyone who ran the updater after the surprise shutdown of the server is gonna have this problem: the new build is bad. After reinstalling simply don\'t run the updater! Im sure the GMs know (or soon will) that there is a problem, and a fix will be posted when they have nailed down the problem.
