Title: Thrustworthy advisors??
Post by: Gilibran on February 06, 2005, 11:57:41 pm
I was back in Ojaveda today and used the help channel to ask if the Lamp fuel quest had been fixed.

A advisor told me that is was tough it still had some minor bugs but was completable now.

it did\'nt work though, asking one of the GM\'s next i learned it was\'nt fixed at all!!!!!!

Who ever the advisor was thank you!! I lost 200 trias X(

no hard feelings though just keep away from the Dehadraxa

As if you can\'t go kill some cool Tefusangs to get back the lost money???

And don\'t mind the db sweep... that will make you scream... hehehe

;) i kill tefusang in the blink of an eye by now only it\'s just plain stupid and boring, it\'s just that it\'s pretty annoying. You should be able to trust an advisor. And the information you get should be reliable. Or just a I would\'nt know

I don\'t hold a grudge however.

The advisor channel is a laugh...it\'s not their fault though, it\'s near impossible to keep updated on what is currently being fixed/has been fixed.

Why did I read this?  Damn you.

Well if anyone can become an advisor it \'s to be expected there are some that don\'t know what they \'re talking about.

Well I have to admit I was surprised you could just put the advisorchannel on no talk or anything needed. and when I have it on I am surprised that some of the advisors seem to claim without even have read the question so how can those be sure they know the answer?

An other thing devs should look at is how GMs and advisors can get information on the bugs being fixed and the things being changed. Seeing I know that even the GMs useally don\'t know what is updated. If they don\'t know how would normal advisors know? :S

Well, I just have to say that advisors dont have it easy.

Well recently one wrote into the help channel \"Why are gobbles so ugly\"

or the \"how does this game work?\" or \"I dont know what to do!1!1!!!!11\" or \"This is suxor\" messages.

And when you dont answer them there will be a \"xy\'s messenger taps his foot impatiently\"->message every two seconds.

hehehe well true had those to yeah specialy the \"What should I do?\" question. But I don\'t mind an advisor not giving a good answer to that I mean I would give extra points for effort if someone exually tried toanswer questions like that if I were the one giving out points ;)
