Title: Armor
Post by: Telia on February 08, 2005, 07:37:37 pm
Hi,

I have been playing for a few days now, but no matter what I do monsters keep hitting me for the same damage.
I tried upping medium armor skill to the max I could, done the same with my shield skill, bought a shield but all that doesnt seem to reduce the damage I take.

I\'ve tried to create new characters too, to see if they get less damage with different stats but no difference either.

Can someone tell me how to reduce the damage you take from monsters?

exept if you have a medium armor equiped (which is not possible right no I guess), you can only use light armor (armor when you have nothing equiped I think). this will work.

About the shield, same problem for me, I think it\'s not possible for now either

I\'m told (after spending tria on shield training;() that shield skill hasen\'t yet been implemented, so while you can buy training in shieldwork, you can\'t get the practice required to actually increase your shield skill level. I expect the same is true of other armour skills.

In the mean time, try changing your attack stance; I\'ve found that in defensive-attack mode there are a few monsters that simply can\'t touch me.

yea rats and goggles in the sewers dont do me dmg either, but try to kill stuff in the dungeon. You will kill 1 and then have to rest for 5mins.

well,
you could make yourself hit harder than the monsters do, by training sword.
training agility would get you hit less.

I heard there aren\'t even any real shield yet, you are just wielding a sword that looks like a shield. That would explain the fact that shields don\'t protect you too (and that my character is hitting my enemies to dead with his shield :) )

That\'s incorrect. The only reason you are hitting with your shield is because the wrong animation is being played.
