Title: Just to let all those PSers know...
Post by: Bill on January 12, 2002, 03:43:13 am
I was just at the bottom of the page and saw a transcript for a little conversation with Talad (the main dude of PS-GO TALAD! :D ) and Kendaro and princessfun a.k.a. Kada-El.

I will not re-make the transcript but I will give some of those lazy people some info:

The release for the demo is TBA Feburary. In the game we can choose from 4 races (this was already known but I am recopying it anyway)- Enkidukai, Stone Breaker Dwarf), Ynnwn, and one that has yet to be announced.

No \"classes\" (I know no other word) will be in the game such as mining or martial arts. BUT there will be interactions with things in the game like bowls or something. Also you can (obvously) move around the world and see the place. In my opinion, even though technically this demo shows little info of the game, I CANNOT WAIT!

One more thing- If Talad or a WTB member reads this (who should then tell Talad about this post) PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE let pubs be in the demo and the ability to drink beer (and possibly get drunk....  ;) )! PLEASE I BEG OF YOU IF ITS THE ONLY THING YOU PUT IN PLEASE PUT A PUB! I MUST HAVE BEER! (because I am gonna be a dwarf, and they are strong drinkers and I will surely carry on the tradition!)

Thank you for the summary Bill, it may answer some people\'s questions :)

I\'m with you, a pub would be a great place for us all to get together - imagine the scene when the demo comes out - it\'d be packed! (of drunken dwarves causing havock maybe :P)

I would love to see you all there for a drink or ten, if we get such an ale house :D

Chewing ale! Urgh, that really is a horrible thought Kendrick - are you going to be a dwarf? Surely only a dwarf could invent such a vile sounding thing!

Of course I can keep up tony antonio anthony or jackass, I hope you can too ;)

there is one thing i enjoyed more than anything else in EQ, was the fact that the more you drank, the more you stumbled around and the less you could make out what you are seeing.. the first time i got drunk in EQ and saw the tunnel vision... i was in real life getting the spins....

*Kendaro goes off to his text pad and starts jotting notes about a tavern..... hmmm what should the name be???? OH I know.......Kada-El\'s Busty Barmaids :p.. LOL just joking...... or am I? ;)

I plan to be the diabolo and elf cross breed (ynnwn)if Lemurs arn\'t in the demo
Title: Kada-El's Busty Barmaids...
Post by: Mustang on January 12, 2002, 03:43:31 pm
Hey, u may be on to something there Kendaro!! For what is a pub without it\'s barmaids??
If there are barmaids, FIRST ROUND\'S ON ME!!!!

Umm, Talad, can I borrow a few bucks? Say, about 5000 of \'em?:P

Virtual Public Houses...

That would be fun... Every Major area within the Levels of the World could have its own popular Pub or Tavern. Smatter them with colorfull Npc\'s, or make them the starting points for alot of the quests.Hopefully there will be a way to encourage people to use them, rather than having the old \"Every one is at the bank\" syndrome of most MMORPGs. Instead of banks, make local taverns or Inns conveinant storage facilities.

LOL!  8o

I would love to play hostess, serve a few drinks and chat to the visitors who drop by when the demo is out. Reserve me a spot behind the bar :D

Anyone seen the barmaid at the Elfsong Tavern in Baldur\'s Gate on the PS2? She is probably the result of some poor programmer\'s over active imagination :P   but I\'m sure any guy would stop in for a regular drink if she was there!

Fantasy barmaid you\'d love to be thrown out of a tavern by ;)

....or.....

Plastic bimbo fantasy of a mammary obsessed artist?

You tell me  :)   I think she\'s pretty cool

LOL, I only had an idea of a fat-mustaced barman... :D
There should DEFINATELY be barmaids like that one in PS! Forth I would like to point out that we can improve the role playing experience by letting importan (quest-giving) PC\'s not stay in the same place, so that you will not always find them at a certain tavern to which everyone that needs a quest goes. You might also not be able to speak with this npc and receive quests while you stand next to him, but you\'ll have to offer him a drink and sit down at his table or something likely.

-players of the other sex, forgive me the use of male NPC\'s but that just makes it more easy... having to write down his/her every time slows down both the writing and the reading process...

If you have seen \"The Lord of the Rings\" movie you should make a barman like the one at the Prancing Pony. A little intimidating, but lovable, once you get to know him.

I cannot wait for the demo.  :D  :D  :D

Yeah, I think our inns (so far) have barmen/ woman as well as a few servents and family waiters

Yeah, a pub scene would be great. And the drinks should be free. Either that or unlimited cash. Just for the demo, I mean.

Bigfoot, I have also wanted to ask her that :p Guess its better for a guy to ask though. hehehe
I am sure she is quite atractive even if that isnt her (which I doubt but worth the asking). My old GF (yes GF) was quite lovely and she played EQ for a long while. Long blond hair with blue eyes, very curvey with a tiny waste ;) So, yes they do play games.

I\'m afraid that it\'s not me, but I am thinking of designing a new sig with me in it, so maybe one day you can see the real me here :D
