Title: Clouds and so in PS
Post by: blubasso on February 10, 2005, 10:14:52 am
I read in the game manual that light is given by a blue cristal which glows on the PS world so i thought the \"nature system\" or the worlk in Yliakum: if the crystal is blue and it glows the air should be appear as bluish-like given a darker appearence in all the world.
But i want return on topic: i saw plants and grasses so there is water steam on the air and in the ground to keep them alive but i don\'t see any cloud on the air, this is strange because if there is water steam it should be also the intere cycle as in our Earth. Am i wrong? Or didn\'t i loose a passage in the manual which explain that?

This is just because of technical reasons. They are just not implemented yet.

I was thinking more along the lines that the water is part of the very ground it\'s in, with all possible clouds being lost the moment they try to form due to plant roots from the roof absorbing all the water before it can solidify.

I clearly remember MB planeshift plans doc whatever thing stated that ps world, yliakim was in fact a large cavity in solid earth, with a crystal light source hanging from the ceiling. and there were meant to be many layers with diff. creatures and stuff and lower levels were submerged.

certainly you could accept clouds in this setting too, but it would be completely possible not to have em.

or is that all old stuff gone with the wind now?

No, all that is still relevant. Just remember that the cave is so big that clouds are certainly an option.

Just for thought.   The NASA vehicle assembly building (where they used to stack the rocket sections and settup the shuttle) actually has clouds form in the building due (mostly?) to it\'s huge size.

The PS world is larger than that.  Anyway, the clouds will form in PS eventually.. as jorrit indicates.  :)

Aye.  Another thing to lie awake in bed thinking about for hours. :D

Why lie in bed when you can play PlaneShift?

I agree with Lutz on this one, folks.
Why lay awake in bed at night thinking about it... or thinking about anything, for that matter?
Put your cares aside & play PlaneShift! :+)
