I have downloaded Planeshift for Linux (version 0.3.006)
And i have also executed the updater...
But if I want to connect to the server, I get the fault, that i would not have the correct version...
Do you know what I did wrong??

Same error here!
-
did you update?

Currently a known issue. The client in the installer is out of date for the current server. We are working in getting the updater to handle linux updates as well but we are not quite there yet. If you are in linux your best bet is to build from source.

Hi !!
Thanks for the answers!
I did not know that there is a prebuild version of the game out.
and I build from source. I made the update, and if I execute the updater now, it says, that I would have the latest verion...
Is there a possibility to play the game ??
Works wine with the game ??

I have the same error with a windows version.
I started my updater, and it it updated my version. However, I still got the same error. I tried updating again, but this time the updater crashed and it keeps crashing.
I don\'t know what you mean with building from the source. Can you explain it please?
Thanks

Don\'t know if this helps or not; but I have WinXP & experienced the same update problems.
So did my Spouse & several RL friends.
We all finally un-installed, then re-installed PS.
The Updater works just fine, & all the current updates came along with no problems.
This solution works well for the less-techy among us. :+)

being less-techy, I tried your solution, and it worked.
thanks :)

If you build from source and yet get the server version missmatch error, you can hack the messages.h in your src/common/net directory and change NET_VERSION to the one that\'s stated on http://laanx.fragnetics.com.
