Title: Linux Install

I\'ve been getting errors while installing PlaneShift on Linux.

I downloaded planeshift_CBV0.3.006_linux.zip, unziped it, and ran the script (after changing the permissions on it :-/).  This is what happened:

New install dir (it will be created).

It will take alot of time to install planeshift by source.
So you can do something else in the meantime.
The installer will do the rest by it self.

It then exited the script.

This is what is in my planeshift directory:

It is right; there is no install_full.log, but there is a install.log

Might I sugest that somebody puts togeather a linux install/update faq and sticky it?  I know there has been many linux related problems lately so I\'m sorry if this is a repeat.

I have a feeling I\'m missing somthing painfully obvious, I mean, how can you mess up running a script?  Any help would be apreaciated.

Also, sorry about the long post, I just wanted to be thorough.

try using a full path for the install directory, (/home/user/planeshift) rather than a relative one.  Make sure you answer every question.

After you have done this, it still won\'t work, but you will be closer.  It seems the only way to make it work is a mix of CVS and the sh cript.  A friend of mine got it to work on two of his computers, but i\'m still working on mine.

Thanks, that did it.  Now I\'m stuck with the problem with the art files and conflicting versions, but I\'m sure I can figure it out by reading some of the other treads.

This thread (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=13975&boardid=33&styleid=1) is stickied in Crystal Blue Problems/Bugs.
Not really a FAQ, but a good place to read about common problems and a good place to find/ask for answers.

Ah, thanks for the link, I didn\'t think of looking there.  A bit of overlap between Technical Help and Problems/Bugs.  I see my problem was solved there.  Sorry about the duplicate thread.
