Well I knew it was coming sooner then later, I will be departing from this realm of RPG and heading off into the oblivion...or atleast you can hope :) I originally planned on getting myself banned from these forums and k-lined from IRC (Which I almost pulled off today by the way), so that I would stop coming here, because face it I am addicted in more ways then one to this which I have come to love.
Though after much thought, perhaps that isn\'t the way to end my days..it was a pleasure playing with you all and I can honestly say it wasn\'t the actual ingame that made it fun for me...It was the people in this community, the conversations, the drama..that was the real fun :) Thank you all and hopefully we meet again whether it is my returning far in the future or through another realm..Goodbye :)
(Sorry to DEVs for my earlier actions on IRC by the way, that was fun, in a dangerous sort of way !)

Depth. What are you doing... come on. At least make up a reason for leaving. Why are you leaving? I can\'t even imagine anything short of being put in prison that could keep me from Planeshift.
I... I don\'t know what to say. You\'re one of by best friends on Planeshift, but you sure do piss me off sometimes. :rolleyes: Ah, well. You will be back. You better be back.

Marc, don\'t turn your backs on us. If you value your \"free thinking\" ways, leaving because you\'re scared of something happening goes against everything you believe in.
You\'re a strong guy. Your will is stronger than anyone else I\'ve met here. When you believe something, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you. You change your ideals for no one.
You told me you loved it here... and you\'re going away because life might not turn out to be perfect. Well wake up dude... we all live in the same world. We all have the same \"maybes\" and \"what-ifs\". Everyone else here can suffer the same fates as you cower from now. You are the LAST person I thought would buckle and walk away from it all. I think, if you see sense, you will stay.
I for one will never say goodbye to you.

Well in short Depth, I respect your decision but not the way you are carrying it out. For one your leaving for a wrong reason, and second the forums aren\'t the most positive way of expressing any reason why you would leave the community. I can think of many more positive ways of doing this, posting on a forum is a major tactic of those who are just looking for attention.
But I do respect your descision. I hope that life gets better, and you are able to deal with whatever demons are keeping you from Planeshift. Kudos to life, and hopefully you have a good ride.
By the way, if you ever decide to give away your car in a wierd drunk mood, remember my email. :P

Oh man, this kind of things are giving me a headache lately. Don\'t ask! :P
Putting behind all the roleplaying, I have to admit you are a person that I will always respect and admire.
No one needs a motive to do something, that\'s for sure. Also, I do not want to make you stay or anything that is against your will, as a matter of fact I strongly suggest all the people that will reply in here, not to \"force\" you in any way. Your decision is the one that counts after all, but, before taking a final one, please read my words.
I will show something I have said some time ago, and maybe it\'s not relevant right now, but please do read it.

Do you know what makes Planeshift different than other games? The community! It\'s unique, and everyone should be proud only by the simple fact it is part of it. You just have to go to the \"Guild Forums\", and you\'ll soon be a part of this never ending story, a story so beautiful that can\'t be missed.
But with every new generation, there will always be the ones who will remember their nostalgic times, that will start thinking they\'re old, that will start thinking their generation was the best and that they also had the best times in here. Then they thought at what they did, what they could\'ve done, regrets comes and other things.
Do you think I don\'t want to see Washi leading the Golden Dragon Clan again, to see Binary, Necromancer Zeal and Whitti fighting evil with their Azure Order, or to talk with people like Nu\'sham, Kendaro, Meket or others ... ?
With these, a problem will always come. The fight between so called \"Oldbies\" and \"Newbies\". Everyone that sits an year around here thinks that now he\'s an elite, an oldbie, also being allowed to do anything he wants. I can give an example Seperot, who was a puppy when he 1st came here, now behaving like the owner of every soul he meets. I wish I could talk with the real one in the future.
But no one ever want to think that maybe we\'re all equals like Auran said. Though, we have to understand that among us there also exists, less, aham ... gifted people, that are a pain in the ass, killing us with tons of stupid questions where the answer can be found everywhere and things like these. And sadly, 1/3 of this community is composed by them. Though, this doesn\'t mean everything is dying around here, they always come and go.
What means for ya that the forums \"die\"? It means that people from your generation aren\'t here anymore? It means that people post what you dislike? We all have different tastes. From my point of view, the forums are just evolving, and I can guarantee this, being here from the beginning.
In the end I\'ll just give ya a tip. Yes, past is good. But don\'t live your life thinking at it, because you\'re in danger to lose the present and the future, you\'re in danger to become a waste, a nostalgic freak that will never recover. Try something new, make new friends, \"evolve\". Don\'t waste your life thinking at only one question - \"What IF?\"
Aendar, since when you\'re an Antedeluvian? Well, anyway ... group hug! I love you! err ... I think :D
Let\'s just make new friends, and hope we\'ll have this conversation in 2010 again! :)
Maybe sometime in the future, you\'ll see Planeshift as I see it. I mean, for me, the game is this community, and I really don\'t care if the game will ever be out because we\'ve created ourselves a new world in here.

PS - Who knows, maybe we\'ll have a real life meeting sometime in the future ;)

I have a damn deadline for the company, that will end very soon, final exams are coming in the end of July (and I sure have to study a lot), and like many others, I also have a g/f to take care of, I also have my personal problems. But I get time to post at least once per day, to see what is going on here, to check the community ...

For one your leaving for a wrong reason
Depthblade, you\'ve left for the best reason there is. I can\'t say I\'m happy to see you go, nor am I sad.
Most people in here are addicts and really should go out and live their lives before it\'s too late, just like you\'ve decided to do, but of course that\'s just my opinion.
I\'ll make sure to remember both Depthblade and Marc. Good luck to you friend! :)

Y\'know, instead of going cold turkey, you could try and limit yourself. For example, 1 hour a day in game, and several short checks of the forums throughout the day. ;):P

Seriously though, I\'m glad for you that you\'re going Depth. It\'s a great game, and a great community, but once it begins to interfere with real life, that\'s wrong. I must really say \"shame on you\" to Moogie, and all the others who tried to guilt trip Depth.
I hope you do good in your life, Depth, and if you have the time, come back and visit us. When you do, I\'ll be waiting to prove that magic is all that\'s important. Magic is all that matters. I only tried to say that you can have *a* real life, but also a life in here. It\'s not hard you know. And it\'s also up to ourselves to decide if a \"game life\" will affect the real life. Though, I don\'t think that when this occurs, you can still be named normal ... :P
