Well, I know nothing about MACs, but I do know what cfg files are. Any text editor you have should do the trick. :)

Edit: This just occured to me, but... you DID download the MAC version of PlaneShift... right?

I just opened it with \'TextEdit\' and it sais:

System.ApplicationID = psupdater

Video.ScreenWidth  = 640
Video.ScreenHeight = 480
Video.ScreenDepth  = 16

System.RunWhenNotFocused = true
System.PlugIns.iVFS = crystalspace.kernel.vfs
System.Plugins.iDocumentSystem = crystalspace.documentsystem.xmlread
System.PlugIns.iImageIO = crystalspace.graphic.image.io.multiplex

System.PlugIns.iEngine = crystalspace.engine.3d

System.PlugIns.iFontServer = crystalspace.font.server.freetype2
Fontplex.Fonts.Default.*Fallback = /this/data/ttf/arial.ttf

System.PlugIns.iSyntaxService =
crystalspace.syntax.loader.service.tex

Um??????

I\'m quite sure that I downladed  the mac version, as I got it off the apple website.

anymore tips

Well, what are you trying to do? .cfg files are configuration files, not execution files... if you\'re trying to run the game or something.

Edit: The download for the MAC client is here: http://www.planeshift.it/download/882827CB3/PlaneShift_CBV0.3.006_mac.dmg

If this is not the file you downloaded, then you don\'t have the right one.

Note: Using the client linked above, you need to review this information (http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=13164&boardid=33&styleid=3) after installing.
