Well first of I am not the best storywriter so do not expect much from this, and I know the story is rather long but here it goes:
Chapter I: Kith?s life as told by him
It still feels so long ago since I last walked in the forest of Sylvanni, oh sorry I never introduced myself I am Kith Kanan of the Kanan family. My father was Helron Kanan a high Guardian of the king of the forest and my mother was a simple housewife, yet she was one of the most beautiful elves I have ever seen in my life. Yes we lived in a monarchy but it was the Elders of the forest who were in charge the king ah well I guess you could say that he only was there as a? ?Decoration?, people loved the royal family ? but if they only had known the truth?
The king died and his son took over? but not all where glad for this new king, eventually a rebel group appeared and a civil war broke out. In the end the whole royal family where slaughtered and my father included, even my mother was killed by the rebels. But none of the rebels knew about the ?curse of the elders?, it was made to protect the golden rule ?those who kills the king, kills the kingdom? if the king ever was killed the whole forest would turn into stone. Many said this only was a rumour to protect the king but nay, it happened and as far as I know I am the only one who managed to escape and survive this horror.
Ever since then I lived in the wild amongst the animals of the forest, I hunted the beast with my bow and I slew all robbers or killers with my twin blade. The only thing I trusted was my bow and my swords; I killed time by reading poems and writing down the ancient songs of my homeland that my mother so often sang. Yet I felt an empty spot in my soul? I missed the company of my kin, to speak to someone and to receive an answer in my own language. So I journeyed to the nearest village and there I heard about the elven guild called the Forest Guardians, and well eventually I joined up with them and I am still with them this very day.
Chapter II: The master arrives
It was a quiet afternoon; Kith was taking a nap under a huge oak tree placed in the center of the forest. Yet not all was normal in the forest a dark shadow was approaching the young elf, he came closer and closer a owl flew by and saw the shadow it made dived down and scared the stranger ?get off me you stupid chunk of feathers!? when he finally had fended the owl off he saw Kith was missing, this was when he heard a voice from behind ?no sudden moves or you will die!?. The stranger laughed ?is this a threat young Kanan?? ?It is a promise? the young elf replied, ?yet I would like to know? from where do you know of my family name?? the stranger laughed again ?why? Haven?t you even taken a look at my armour? That is my answer? Kith looked at the armour and was shocked ?you? you are a guardian!?? he lowered his bow and the stranger turned to face him ?indeed I were, and your father was my superior?, Kith smiled ?I am glad to know that I wasn?t the only who survived?. The stranger lowered his head ?I? did not survive? I am but a ghost of my former self? Kith looked at him in disbelief ?this is no time for jokes?? the stranger looked at him with hate in his look ?This is no joke, young one!? he began to close in on Kith ?my promise to your father has kept me in this world? a promise to teach you in the arts of combat and? to teach you of some manners? he smiled ?you truly could use the latter?.
The days passed and Kith became a good archer, but still something was missing ?a bow is one the finest weapons mastered by the elves, but you will need to learn how to wield a pair of elven swords? Kith shrugged ?I do not own any weapons like these you speak of?. The master smiled ?I am sure that you recall the name Rhi?arno He?ran?? Kith looked at him and smiled proudly ?of course that?s my grandfather?; the master laughed ?well ever heard about his legendary twin blades Rhi?lena and Rhi?lana?? Kith blushed ?not? exactly? no I don?t think so? the master sighed ?oh well let me tell you then, they were forged by the dwarves? yes you heard me right the dwarves, this was when the sylvanni forest still were open to all races. But that is beside the point later on two of the most powerful mages of the forest inscribed enchantments on the swords, so that no one else than those related to Rhi?arno could wield these swords, well any questions?? Kith looked at his master and then shrugged ?why do they have girl names?? the master looked at Kith and sighed again ?yes, the men in your family has always had a passion for women, and actually you should know that better than me? but well Rhi?lena and Rhi?lana is your mothers twin sisters and well I guess that is where the name came from, unfortunately they both died at birth so I guess this was a last honour to them, but well we are going to find these swords, and then you will inherit them as you were meant to?.
Chapter III: The Twin blades
After wandering for some time Kith and the master came to a place, it looked like an ancient grave covered in plants. ?So this is my grandfather?s grave am I right?? the master smiled ?indeed this is the grave of Rhi?arno He?ran, now we just need to get inside somehow? he looked around for an entrance but with all the plants it was hard to find it, suddenly Kith fell through the ground with a loud scream ?ah I see you have found the entrance young one? the master laughed, ?shut up old man and it is Kith not young one!?. After some time the master had reached Kith and with torch in hand, they began to venture into the grave of Kith?s grandfather. ?We must be careful there can be traps everywhere, your grandfather was very untrusting, and he always feared that someone would come to steal his swords? Kith laughed to himself ?did he ever think that anyone might come to claim them? Besides who could steal them thanks to that enchantment?? the master shrugged ?who know what Rhi?arno was thinking?? the master suddenly stopped and looked down ?what is it?? Kith was confused by his master?s sudden reaction ?well Kith, look down and you will see? the elf looked down and saw a stone that looked different than all the other ?I see, let me guess if we had stepped on that then we would have triggered a trap?? the master smiled ?correct, you are beginning to learn from what I have taught you?. They carefully stepped over it and continued, surprisingly the grave didn?t hold any other surprises, but they made it to a large stone door ?this is the entrance to the chamber where the swords are? the master looked nervous ?I know it?s disturbing that we haven?t met other traps? the master nodded. ?In any case how do we open this door?? Kith searched the door carefully, until the master cut him off ?well there are some inscriptions here in elven language, you should be able to read it? Kith looked at the inscriptions ?only one with the blood of the He?ran family can open this door? Kith shrugged ?and that means?? the master handed Kith a dagger ?you got to be kidding? the master smiled ?well, do you want the blades or not?? cut himself in the thumb and pressed it towards the door, and correctly enough it opened and they entered the room. The room was empty except that in the middle of the room there was a raised platform on which there was a throne, and in the throne there was a skeleton which held two blades.
?Finally the legendary blades are mine!? Kith looked confused at the master ?what are you talking about?? the master started a maniacally laughter and then said with a rougher voice ?you are but a fool Kith, I am no elf! I am a human! And these gloves will do so I can use the swords and thank you for leading me to this place!? Kith frowned ?you are a grave robber? Well I will end your journey here? the grave robber laughed again ?what can you do elf? I have taught you all that you know!? Kith smiled ?yes but I have an advantage? I can see in the dark? he dropped the torch and stepped on it everything became dark around them. ?Damn you elf!! I sha...? an arrow had placed itself in his side ?well that should take care of you?, he walked up to the skeleton and reached out after the swords ?sorry grandpa but I need your weapons, more than you do?. He turned and then fell to his knees ?what!?... i... is? this pain!?? he looked and saw the grave robber by his side ?I am sorry Kith but I cannot allow you to kill me her?? Kith smiled ?oh yes you can? he had placed Rhi?lena in the stomach of the robber ?Da?Damn you?elf? with these words he fell and died. Kith?s condition was still worsening ?god, this is poison? is this? the end?? after this he fainted.
Chapter IV: The old life ends, and a new one begins
?hey kid? wake up!? Kith opened his eyes slowly; the first thing he saw was an old guy?s face. ?Ah, so you are not dead? the old man laughed, ?where? where am I?? Kith looked around and saw his torso was covered with bandages ?you are in the realm of Yliakum of course? he laughed again and took a wet rag; he then placed it on Kith?s forehead. ?There that should keep the fever down, and don?t try to speak ok? Where are almost there?. Hours went by before they came to a small camp in the outskirts of a city called Ojaveda, the man smiled and turned to face Kith ?I know of a woman in town, she will heal you and you will be as good as knew? they finally reached a small tent where a girl and a brick was, ?father you are back? oh who is this? Is this a friend of yours?he looks hurt? the old man placed Kith on the brick ?well I found him near some old ruins, he has obviously been attacked there is poison in the wound, a poison which I never have seen before?, the girl removed the bandages and a serious look appeared on her face ?this is a rare poison? but I think I can heal it? she placed her hand above the wound, and a very bright blue light appeared in her hand. She held it there for a moment, ?I have never seen a wound as resistant as this? I may need to use the special medicine? the man said in a serious voice ?do what you think is necessary?, the girl opened a bag and took a bottle from it, she then poured the liquid on the wound and it started boiling ?do not worry my friend, it is a sign that the medicine is wor?? it seemed that Kith had been knocked out cold all the time.
Kith woke up with a terrible headache, he looked around and then looked at his torso? the wound was gone! The girl entered the tent with a big smile on her face ?I see you are awake sleepyhead? she laughed to herself ?so you are the one who healed me?? the girl nodded and places herself beside his bed. ?How are you?? he placed himself in a sitting position ?I have been worse??, she smiled and then replied ?you should have a terrible headache, it is one of the bad things about my medicine? she then laughed and then notified him that he would be fine again soon. Kith then began to wonder about many things ?what is this place? How did I get here? Or who brought me here? I still have the twin blades?? he then got out of bed and left the tent. The old man smiled and approached Kith ?so you are well again eh? Good to see you are fine, so where do you come from?? Kith shrugged and then answered ?I do not remember?, the old man shrugged ?ah well, as long as you are fine then all is good? so what will you do know?? Kith looked at him and then said ?well first I am going to find out what this place is? are there any elves here?? the old man laughed ?well on my journeys I have heard of a tavern in Hydlaa, I think they called it Kada El?s tavern? but she is a Dermorian and one of her staff is leading a guild called Forest Guardians, after what I know he only allows elves in that guild perhaps you will find some answers there? like where you came from I think the fellow?s name is Draklar or something like that ah well I will show you the way to Hydlaa and then you can go and see for yourself?.
