Title: Stonebreakers

When will we know when we can use the dwarves again? not playing my fave character is starting to piss me off.

um...we cant...??? i hadnt been on in a few days but i didnt think the peoples of planeshift had turned to  mass genocide....*tries to look less dwarfish*


anyways if there is a problem it will be fixed eventually and asking when isnt going to make it happen any faster so just sit back relax and find something else to do with your time.

*Edit: wow i feel kind of dumb now...the client issues i was/am having were that as i only had one character and it was a stonebreaker the game crashed whenever i logged in...thanks for pointing me in the right direction...(i made another account to double check this after having had my suspicions raised here(sorry if this is against rules...though i didnt see that it was:/)

so yeah its stonebreaker specific...cant seem to isolate the issue though...:/ but then im not exactly what you would call an expert when it come sto fixing things like this...

*Edit: just wondering...is this a windows specific issue or is it cross-platform...just figured this should be idenified...(thrice damned windows...)

Ok. I\'ll be the official second then.

I log in fine and get the character selection screen.
I can select any character accept my dwarf because if I select it (meaning just click on it), the game bombs and asks to save a dump file. I answer yes and it comes back to tell me that it could not save a dump file. I look in planeshift directory to find empty dump file.

This started to happen before the characters were restored from backup. I figured it was just me and would eventually report it as I don\'t use this character much any more. Figured the characters data was corrupted or something. Never noticed that there were no dwarfs in the game any more though. Guess I just wasn\'t paying attention I guess. lol

Edit: Now that I\'m paying attention, I am seeing dwarfs in the game so it\'s not an \'all dwarfs\' issue.

Having same problem when I select my dwarf PS crashes, this is only since v3.007. Have it both on Win and Linux and different pc\'s..
Hope they\'ll fix this before smelting comes in (:

I\'ve been having the same problem. I have even trouble shooted with with another account and the game works perfectly when I play any character but a dwarf. However, as soon as I log into my account with the dwarves it crashes.

I have about half a dozen dmp files to prove it too. =\\

Yet I see dwarves ingame.  So it can\'t be a problem for everyone.  ?(

actually it isn\'t what is just \"already created\"

Stonebreakers, I guess the \"one type\" Of dwarf - when I was creating new characters, everytime I tried to \"view\" the picture/info for that type of dwarf the creation crashed - asked to save dump file.

But I could view the other type of dwarf just fine in character creation with no crash - so that\'s probably why you do see one type of dwarf and not others.

Whatever it is - its evident in character creation (can\'t make em...can\'t even click on the option without crashing), as well as those of you with already present dwarves of that \"breed\".

I also noticed it on a few other charaacter models - don\'t remember which ones right now :).  But just selecting that character model for info. caused the game to crash.

I also have this problem with one of my characters, a stonebreaker, and one of my guild members, another stonebreaker has the same problem. There is something wrong here, Devs please check it out.

You see dwarves in game because it is not a dwarf problem.

Just a stonebreaker one.

I saw a stonebreaker today (I examined him to be sure).  I showed him where to buy mugs.

hrmmm hopefully they fixed the problem then. i\'ll have to re-install and update again when i get home. this could be good cause i\'m forgetting how to be a raving dwarf. By the way, love the sig

Hammerwielder has the same model as Stonebreakers, so it\'s probably them you saw
