Title: Updater and PLANESHIFT_DATA_PATH

Hi,
I\'m new to this forum.
I\'ve just installed PlaneShift on my Debian Sid.
The game version is \"0.3.006\".
When I tried to join the \"Laanx\" server, I was noticed my game version was wrong, so I downloaded \"updater-007.tar.bz2\" and unpacked it,
but when I launch it I receive:

Couldn\'t run Planeshift Updater. Is PLANESHIFT_DATA_PATH set?

Even if I export the variable like this:

# export PLANESHIFT_DATA_PATH=/usr/local/games/PlaneShift/planeshift/data

the error is still the same.
How can I proceed in upgrading (and playing) PlanShift?

I dont know, I don\'t pay attention to the bugs because I know nothing about then :)

But please, for the sake of talad, get a better name.

I think you installed the game as root? it is also possible to install it as user under your home dir. That\'s wat I did, works fine for me.

Their is also a v3.007 installer already:

Either updater-bin is missing or the user you are running on doesn\'t have the rights to execute it. Hmm I should change that message to make more sense :)

Ok, I just installed the new version 0.3.007 from the suggested link,
but I still get the same error as before.
I installed the game as root in \"/usr/local/games/Planshift\", but I launch it as normal user. I also tried tu run it as root, but without results.
If it could be useful, this is what I get when I launch it from the console:

Why did you install it as root? Then it\'s no wonder that it can\'t save any configuration or update the files. You have to run the updater as root then. Why didn\'t you install it as user in your home?
