Deus ex Trucido

My father once told me a tale of generations past. Long before written history. I remember the event vividly. He told me that in the beginning, The Deus ex Trucido was just another bedouin tribe in the depths of this forsaken land. The origins of this tale are quite well known and have been passed down generation after generation:
The history of the Tribe of Deus ex Trucido:
?Anubis was the first of our kind. It was said that he was created by the tears, struggles, and failures of man. He was tormented in life by a great demon that slowly devoured his soul. As his life progressed, his sanity subsided.? My father took a deep breath as if he were going to enlighten me too much.
After a melodramatic pause he continued. ?The more his mind left him, he began to increasingly talk of the afterlife. Anubis knew he would spend his life in a hellish realm. Therefore, he encouraged all of his followers, the nine disciples, to perform unmentionable acts daily, in order for them to meet the same end. Anubis hoped that while in this realm of the dead, that his chosen could find a cure to remove this cursed demon?s grasp from his soul.? My father looked very inspired when he made this last statement but his face quickly saddened.
?He was growing weak by now and he knew it would not be long until he withered away from this realm. After his death, Anubis was elevated to a divine being.? A tear ran down my father?s cheek as if he has a personal relationship with our Anubis. ?Each of his nine disciples drank a small portion of his blood before they sat him on a mound of dirt and set fire to the vessel, which was common practice for our ancestors. It is said that each disciple was imbued with power of the demon. This power was passed down through their family lines and is now with your generation, son. This is why the elders of the tribe have guided you children from an early age. Teaching you what you must do as pawns on a never ending quest: To relieve Anubis of his plague. For this, our tribe has been branded evil. And so, here we are today in our present conditions son. Do you have anything to say??
And I said the only thing I could? ?We do what we must, correct father??
Our time had finally come:
Our tribe has had a very difficult time adapting to the surface? There are only eight of us now. Each of us have taken on the names of the original eight disciples. Amheh is our founder. He leads us through our perils to the promised land? so that we may cure Anubis.
Mission Statement:
Though we may be viewed as evil to some, we just do what we must. Please do not stand against us because we will not hesitate to use you in bloody scarifice to our master. We must fulfill our destiny? and if you intrude or obstruct (on) our path, we will have to make you martyrs to our cause. Leave us be? and we will pillage and murder what we must.
Goals: We are not here for power, riches, or any other luxuries here on this land. Nor do we care whether the land is in a state of mayhem or chaos (as long as there\'s anarchy). We do what we have to in order to achieve the same end as our overseer Anubis. There are no limitations set upon us of how we should act. We will devourer all who stand in our path.
Rules:
.To never be bound by others constraints, rules or ideals.
.To fight and win by any means
.Respect your fellow guild members, show them loyalty and truth.
.Wreak havoc, insult people as often as possible, cause discontent amongst other guilds , and enjoy the surrounding mayhem.
Ranks: We have Nine current ranks. Eight of these shall be filled by eight individuals, one per rank, our most deviate, cunning and above all... active, members. The remaining Ninth rank shall be comprised of many Mercenaries, many players thirsty for blood, members wishing to prove their better entitlement to become one of our Eight, thus replacing the most inactive of The Eight. Deus ex Trucido will not be plagued with inefficiency by having a large guild.

Hello, I am a founder of Dues ex Trucido along side Velix. It was his original idea, he did the site, I did the story and we worked out the ranks together. We are somewhat equal in our handlings of this guild though he holds more power than I.
I hope we are welcome in this realm, though if we are not that is fine too. We will treat people with a mild neglect unless you are willing to join us. But please tread lightly around us. We will remember the ones that show no respect.

Many thanks, the website is a standard set for the guild universe. We will eventully move to something that can be edited further to make our home more original.

About your guild: You shall all crumble with your god worshipping as it is nothing but uninformed and useless junk. If you eventually decide to abandon your dear god, Anubis, then I might consider letting you off the hook. Religion...pfft, it is nothing buy phony pittle-pattle writings of ancient text!

Just so you know I find you all very amusing.
I think, however, that we don\'t have one of those annoying \'evil\' cults yet, at least not on a the major level, so you\'re good in the originality department. Or were, until you wrote \"anubis\" in your history, that\'s pretty unPS-related. I do however think your guild-history is fairly well-written, and this whole thing comes off better because this guild seems to promote rp. I can\'t tell whether or not it\'s uberRP at this stage.

And to keep this EVEN MORE On-Topic: I agree that the History is well-written (like I said on our Forums), but I never realized the part about Anubis being non-PlaneShift related. You may want to change that to Talad, Laanx, or maybe something original...but not something as used as Anubis. It would help your guild in RolePlaying and maybe help you be more liked.
Again, I mixed IC and OOC. The top two paragraphs are IC and the last two are kinda mixed...

I would like to first say sorry about my erlier posts obviusly i wasent nice enough and some people felt i was being hurtfull. well i do realy mean in when i say i hope you have a super time with this guild ^^ im sure you will do fantastic jobs of world conquering and killing millions of people.. as all evil guilds do ^^

Couldn\'t have said it better myself. Although I probably could\'ve handled the English accent, being a Brit and all... :)
Indeed, he was given a warning, and some friendly advice to improve his attitude in the forum. Whether he wants to take this seriously or not (the latter, as it would seem), is his choice, but he will either follow the rules like everyone else or suffer the consequences. I have been lenient in the past, and given him small nudges before, but I believe it\'s time we saw some kind of improvement now. I will not have every new person who comes here demoralised and driven away by trolls. Any problems with that, PM me, or speak to the admins.
Now, this is not an opportunity to start another discussion- this is a guild thread, so let\'s keep it that way please. I did make a thread-guarding promise after all, which is how this started in the first place. ;)

I second her feelings. I don\'t care who you are, how long you\'ve been here, or how you feel about them, flaming new guilds is inapproriate and will be deleted.
Sep: Spam is spam. I\'ve told you that. It\'s not about acting a certain way. I\'ve lost count of how many of your posts I\'ve deleted in the past few days, but rest assured I will keep doing it if you continue to do what you are doing.

Just letting you all know that Deus ex Trucido is at war with Iron Fists and Blood Scorps , We eliminated Marauder whos guild leader then Dispanded his guild, and has been recruited and under going initiation right now. But i already know that he has an evil aura and will fit in fine.

Well I don\'t know if it is necessary Draklar, but it is in our nature which is very hard to change ;) and I fear there are two many guilds fighting for \"good\". You have witnessed what happens to someone when they try to change their temperment *Am-heh shakes his head, and wonders what strange curse has been inflicted on his evil buddy, I hope Seperot returns to his normal self soon. :evil:
Yes Seperot, millions will fall and hopefully we might be able to allign forces one day and slaughter all these idol hereos waiting for a challenge.

Eah, wow man your good at making enemys keep it up and you just might raise your guild\'s standing to tiny minor ignoreable-threat on The Cabal\'s list \'o\' Guilds, and like what moogie said don\'t let people like seppie get you down, this fourm is full of heavy ribbing and general non-sense.
so just spread the word that you hate the cabal more than anything eals (eg. anime, televison, 8 year old kids .... ect ect... :D :P ) and we\'ll might just raise it 10 ranks higher whatcha say. ;)

you should be careful about makeing enemies so quikly. After all you would not want to be destroyed before you even go up aganst one of th good guilds you seem to hate so much.

..Now Blood Scorps are also a guild of the past... Our war with Iron Fists is at a tempory stand still because there seems o be a bug with the game. When either party suffers a link dead the war is stoped and any karma points you accumulate dissappear.

At the moment we are engaged in war with Swords of Ghent,The Fallen Ones , Our war with Iron fists is still at a stand still but they are working with our opposition as are , Glyph Warriors, Paladins,Lost Ones and Crowdawn. When we have a little more power these guilds will also be invited to feel the sharp edge of our blades.
We Have discussed \"Rules of War\" which are as follows,
No attacking in or from a saftey zone. Saftey zones include the tavern(inside of which you must dis-arm) and the center of the plaza where everyone spawns, also the spawn point inside Death Realm. Anywhere else these dogs are allowed to be slashed,bashed and tortured. Good luck and may Evil Reign.

Whats with the whole \'devourer of millions\' thing, I have to ask? I mean, call me crazy, but that sounds really unhealthy. Most folks I know live in filth and squalor, havent you noticed that practically every citizen of Yliakum wears the same clothing day in, day out? And covered from head to toe in the encrusted gore of countless Trepors and Tefusangs, may I add. And you are devouring them, thats just vile beyond comprehension.. and not in the Evil sense, more in the \"Oh gross I cant believe you ate that!\" sense.
Its got to be pretty fattening too, devouring millions. Even with everyone walking or running everywhere, the pounds are still going to go straight to your posterior. Wow, your guild is sure good at making enemies it would seem. How do you do it so easily? I mean make guilds declare war on you? Do you insult them, pester and annoy them or what? I ask because a guild war requires both guilds agreement. And alot of guilds aren\'t out there just searching for a war, especially ones with several newer members who may not like the fact that some highly leveled char is killing them everytime they see them...

As for creating hate, isn\'t that one of the main goals of an evil guild? Hate being evil itself and a main source of power for large scale world manipulation? If I were an evil character, that would be my purpose. However, I think \'Devourer of Millions\' is purely propaganda to inspire this \'hate\' and fear. Am-Heh\'s plan is working perfectly, in my opinion.

Just a few edits to my opening post as a few small re-adjustments were made. mainly:
Ranks: We have Nine current ranks. Eight of these shall be filled by eight individuals, one per rank , our most deviate, cunning and above all... active, members. The remaining Ninth rank shall be comprised of many Mercenaries, many players thirsty for blood, members wishing to prove their better entitlement to become one of our Eight, thus replacing the most inactive of The Eight. Deus ex Trucido will not be plagued with inefficiency by having a large guild.
Also an anoucement that Swords of Ghent even though much mightier in numbers but not in war tactics have left there war against us, with their pockets 35,000 trias lighter and there ego badly bruised. Glyph Warrior lead by Seden whilst being a little more noble in their efforts to make us submit, were also over run and have not come back seeking to gain face. thus also being added to the pile of \"push overs\".
Currently we are amusing ourselves with a \"mock\" war against The Pride, but be assured we will be knocking on your door soon asking you to come out and....play?

With all due respect Draklar, if you were ingame more often, over the last couple of months, you may have heard of them. But yes they are both relatively new guilds. We challenge any guild claiming to rid the realms of planeshift from evil, it so happens that the only guilds willing to actully try par taking in such activitys are the newer ones.
Just because someone has played for longer (since mb) or spends more time developing his charactor in the forums, doesnt mean he is superior to a newer charactor who spends more time ingame training his charactor, specially when dueling/guildwars are involved. Im sure the leaders of both these guilds were stronger than you, in fighting stats.
I find there is a heavy resentment amongst the older player, of any new guild good,bad or indifferent that joins planeshift. And most of the time the ones most vocal in the forums are the least active ingame. Maybe they should come ingame more often and show all the so called n00bs how to play...
Anyway, we await the challenge of any guild wanting to get in our way. So who knows i might see you on the battlefield.

Eh, I have seen them ingame, but that doesn\'t change the fact that they are virtually unknown (at least in these parts, which kills the point of announcing it anyway).
And having such things as 150 strength, 100 endurance and 90 agility, despise being a dermorian, I would think I went through a fair ammount of training ingame :P
Also, I developed my position in this community over all this time. That is kind of superior to someone who remains unknown and just builds up character\'s power, which will get wiped many times in the future anyway :P

Well said Am-Heh, however wrong. This game is not about \'stats\' or \'deuling\'. If the older players (and new good RPers) were ingame, most \'n00bs\' most likely would not even notice them due to the fact that they spend a lot of their time \'role playing\', that is, standing around talking, appearently doing nothing. Strenth and fighting means nothing if you are Rping a waif, begger, or *grins* a four hundred pound cowardly banker with no fighting or magic skills what-so-ever.
You see, you are Rping a powerfull warlord. Where as others are not. You do a good job at your\'s; they do a good job at theirs. It\'s apples and oranges my friend.

Yes as i said, they have stronger fighting stats, they had recieved 170ktrias from some bug, both were highly trained. Allthough the glory was admitably small in beating these un-organised, and tacticlly weak foe.
I am aware that you have a large and well formed reputation that you have built up over time although i have respect for you but on the other hand I will annouce what i wish on my thread so that followers of the guilds activity now where we stand and players wishing to join know whats going on. Those who are intreasted or have knowledge of the content will participate. Those like yourself who are not or don\'t, are welcomed to ignore, it makes little difference to us.
If we annoy or offend anyone in anyway, what can i say....good.

see am-heh this is why i turn down your alliance offers... your still too \"fresh\" in the lands and you dont have a fuller grip on how things work. killing unknown newbie guild in planeshift is going to get you nowhere, planeshift politics (not sure on a better phrase for it :P) has a much stronger swing then a sword and it leaves a far bigger sound too. on that note your not stubborn like a few of the other cases i\'ve been talking to lately (looks at \"wonderbra\" and grins) so you have hope but you need to branch out more onto the thinking game and not just killing newbie guild that would most likely disbandon quickly anyways...

This is why i do not disturb their threads, the game of planeshift can be played from different angles. Our guild for now focus\'s on satisfing our blood lust, we are not hunting out newbie guilds in particular as i have already said further up. I understand this is not the be\' all or end \' all of the game, and too some this seems futile and boring.
We however take great amusement in ploting and putting into practice war plans. We do however build up friendships and allies in game who agree with and wish to help our plight.
We do not force our way of playing the game as the \"right\" or \"sole\" way of playing. Sometimes i think some people forget that it has been left to open interpretation and use for a reason,(keeping to some guidlines of course).
Seperot my wishing to join an alliance with you was because of our guilds similiar alliagnment. I am a fan of your humour but am not bothered if your with or against us, although i would prefere the latter.

Dont underestimate the power they have. I for one played in MB, and had a sizeable amount of tria transfered from MB. (10,000+). The people you see commenting in here arnt the entire guild, you know. I trust that after the wipe we will be able to grow just as quickly as before.

Uhhhh,.... your point being? We\'re allowed to use God\'s names in game, its a nice theme. There are very few people who still worship these gods, so i highly doubt we would be offending anyone... maybe if one of our Members was Yahweh, god of compassion, ok, that would be stretching it a little. But i dont see anything wrong with the current theme, save it is a bit ooc. But we\'re not really taking much more than the names here.

Simply using a name dosn\'t constitue being ooc. Ok, if it was a stupid name like Mr Cars or Light Saber yeah thats out of character, but simply using acient God\'s names dosnt really mean anything in particular. On the contrary, just because you make up a name that hasnt ever been used somewhere before, dosnt make it in character. It becomes in character from the way you use it, and from the way you develop that character. I could come up with a thousand random names, but i simply prefer to use an existing name. If you take an acient God\'s name, and you build up your character within the limitations of Planeshift in terms of storyline and setting, then i dont see any reason why you cant use it. It remains to be seen how the storyline within planeshift will be set up (i.e how your character will interact with the story in planeshift), but until then unless a character is borrowing excessive ooc cultural references in choosing their name, then i dont think they should be stopped from doing so until they\'ve had the chance to develop that character.

Monketh looks worriedly at his associate, who, slightly panicked, quickly stabs Am-heh several times with something about the size of a quill pen.
When Am-heh reawakens, the metal briefcase, associate, and Monketh are gone. A cap from the needle remains, however, along with a piece of torn cloth that had been used to bind him.

Waking with a splittling headache, worse than any hangover enduced by Bloody Mary\'s. His vision clearing a little, Amheh feels a throbbing pain deep within the side of his neck. Holding his neck firmly with one hand, in an effort to dull the pain, and with the other steadinghimself against the wall.
He slowly recollects images of Monketh and another shady charactor , he couldnt quite pull from the foggy depths of his brain.
What have those mongrels done to me...I must find out what they are up too, and make them pay many times over!
Alot more suddenly than he had awoken, amheh was out like a light again......

Talamir walks into the room, and sees Amheh passed out. He quickly moves toward him and checks all his pockets. Finding nothing, he makes his way to the door.

Roused by the feeling of hands, Amheh awakes alot more alert this time..But again there is no-one in site.
Remembering Monketh and his associate almost imediatly this time. Amheh runs his hand over his neck..And with the other instinctivly reaches down and grips his sabre tightly..
Those two wretchs! Im no lab rat, they will pay highly for this..
Storming off he goes in search of the small figured Monketh... and his over-zealous dog!

All too true, I was not the victor. I undertook a fight I was destined to lose, but began anyways. I was a brash, overconfident warrior and I paid the price. In a far off town I have been training with a fellow follower of darkness. Together with my other brothers of Deus Ex we shall begin to reign down terror among the puny masses. Sometimes the biggest mistake of the side of good is compassion. Instead of killing me I was banished, giving me time to grow in my stregnth, hatred and anger. Now, justice WILL be satisfied.

Life is contrary and diallectic in nature. I do not expect you to know me for who I am, as I have made no attempt to communicate my true nature to you.
The guild knights are lacking in direction and substance, and Sirunie isn\'t ready to admit to what he\'s created. They\'re basically looking out for eachother, trying to be pleasant and have fun, that kind of tripe.
Yes, I was a member. I was very high in the ranks, among the generals below only Sirunie and Antra in a guild of over 120. I was kicked out however on charges of being abrasive, rude, confrontational, insulting, theiving, and who knows what else.

Well well well, it seems things are stirring. I was hoping to find this much anger and hate still strongly flowing through the group. To me its obvious that we all value power and the sword as important, above limiting things like ...honor..heh!
Why are all stories fake? Because good always triumphs over evil. In real life good almost always comes at a price of limiting ones ability to battle evil. Someone who is individualistic, with no real morals, and no real possessions has nothing to lose is more valuable to me. In a dire situation, one needs only to endanger the \"innocent\" and the \"good\" people will tend to them first allowing an advantage. Their other weakness is love. Any loved one can be kidnapped or endangered and a \"good\" person will do anything to retreive them.
I have my work cut out for me yes, but I have the right building blocks. Have fun building youself on soft things like goodness, honor and love. Here we will build our foundiation on something solid like power.

Please though, the choosen is limited to 8 persons, so killing each other is counter productive. How can we deal with the swine thats infesting the area when one is dead? A little healthy mutilation might be fine though, just make sure to scar the face - it will make him even more unappealing and firghtening.
Look all, we have much work to do so lets all get started. The bloodbath needs to be soon as my hands are beginning to get unsteady. A fast from killing always leaves me this way, so I need to aleviate some of this. oh and careful Induane with your neutral stance, I know you are a community of good disguising themselves as neutral to avoid conclict as you are obvioulsy ill equipt to handle it.

Just wondering... was Anubis truly an appropriate choice for this guild? Besides the issues of being OOC.
It just seems to me from what I\'ve read, that Anubis was more of a guardian over the realm of the dead and over the death of gods, but I don\'t think that Anubis went after the gods to kill them.
So in Egyptian mythology, who is the patron god of suffering? I know that Seth is the god of chaos and destruction, but suffering is different from both those things and might only be caused by them.

Hmm. I didn\'t find anything on the net linking him to suffering.... just references to him as a guard. His symbol is the owl though, and that\'s significant in its own right.:--D

I cant really remember the sources that were used when DeT was originally set up. But I do know it was a crediable site :P.. Likely we should not have used Equiptian gods... but it all started as kind of a small joke that turned out to be very successful because of the was Am-heh was RPing his part.

Even if you said something in game like \"Ave ba\'al Amheh anpu levich set-mot levich!\", it wouldn\'t mean anything to anyone except for a very few members of the order. Most people would just see Amheh\'s name, and they wouldn\'t pick up on the numerous OOC references in that single line (languages used include latin, hebrew, and russian, while it makes references to egyptian mythology and jewish mysticism).

Zanzi, you really should do a search on that. It has been a major trade island off the east coast of Africa for millenia--since a few hundred years a key in spice trade.
There is also some folklore, from various places, about the name being a merchant with magical powers--probably due to the fact that it was a destination for sailors who went there during the monsoons. [Don\' know if you\'ll find much of the folklore.]
There are also many clubs named after it--for all of the above reasons: haven, magical, spicy.
