Title: blackscreen-vertex buffer is off

When I start Planeshift, it loads fine and everything, but in the game I can only see characters. Everthing else is black. I checked in settings, and vertex buffer is off.

In town it gets extremely dark during the night - that might be it...

was it dark in town a about 2 hours ago? If so then that could be it. Thanks!

Uhm, no idea, sorry - I am at work (on the nightshift here in Dk).
But from your description I would guess that it was night ingame - since the same happens here.

No, it is a problem many are having.  There are other topics about it, in the Crystal Blue Problems/Bugs forum and .. probably everywhere. :)

Yes, when you get ingame, just hang around for a few minutes and it will get better.
