Title: Still cant read my text after 2 weeks of searching...
Post by: DrunkenPimp on March 03, 2005, 11:55:59 pm
I have been trying to see the text on the updater/setup/game on this computer for well over 2 weeks. Most of u had this problem after an update, where it replaced one of the older files (dont remember the name off the top of my head). So you just put the old file back in or downloaded a new version. So before u flame me on not using search i never had text in the first place

As far as i know my video card is all updated

I got a SiS 760 Rev 00 and its version 6.14.0010.3650 which to my knowledge is the latest version. Its on 32 bit display mode.

Anyone got any idea? im getting desperite

You might try changing the compatability mode.   That worked for me back in MB.  And just because you aren\'t getting an answer we aren\'t a weak community.  You just have a weird problem.  When I had that in MB no one knew what to do either...

I assume you are using the windows version.

Many people have corrected odd problems by uninstalling PlaneShift, doing a complete reinstall with the newest available version, and then running the updater. If its been a while since you installed it I would try this first, the newer builds might have fixes and corrections that yours does not.

Insulting the people who you are asking for help is not the best way to receive said help either, incidentally. A little tact and diplomacy goes a long way.

And some patience, too. Do you really think a hundred people are going to stop by and read your thread in the space of 4 hours between your triple postings?

If the customer service is a little slow for you, maybe you should ask for your money back. :)
