Title: New Targets!

I got board one day at home so I made my target look like this :D

This change in my target shouldn\'t effect the game so please don\'t make me change it!

I never did like the effect I settled on for CB, so I\'m going to create a bunch of new target effects and put them up for download here. Strictly \'fan\' stuff, of course, since if I made them official I wouldn\'t be able to share them like that. ;) This gives me a chance to show you what the effect was originally, and what other ideas I had for it before I picked a final one.


Edit: Okay, here\'s 3 I whipped up just now. The first one (four rotating dots) was one of the original choices for CB\'s target effect. The second one is like the default, except it\'s using a different marker texture. The third one is my special one: the Dragon Marker. ;)

To install a new marker, extract the target .xml\'s to your /data/effects/misc folder and replace \"target.xml\" with whichever target file you wish to use. Make sure to rename the new target file to \"target.xml\" or it won\'t work. :) Now go to the /art/effects folder and extract marker.png and dragonmark.png there.

That theorhetically should work, although I havn\'t tested it myself.

Very nice Target effects Moogie, I should try skinning PS I have worked skinning on FPS games though..

Moogie: If you\'d like, we could host them for you at ps-mc.com, or add an entry into our download database pointing to albinomoogie.net (they\'re on the same server now, so it doesn\'t really matter)

We\'re a-hungering for content anyway, and you are well known ;)

Hey, Lutz used the art from my firecircle target on ps-mc (http://www.ps-mc.com)  (its actually Zeraph\'s art, but I did the xml).  I\'m honored. :P

I figure I might as well take this opportunity to advertise a now finished marker that I\'ve been working on for a couple days (because of some less than desireable results).  I made it in memory of a friend named Zygollas from my EQ days.  Here\'s the preview image:
