Title: v0.3.008 for Linux - unable to save configuration after play.
Post by: Melorker_Doosur on March 15, 2005, 11:34:50 pm
The following occurs when trying to save setting after play:

Error saving configuration \'/this/planeshift.cfg\'.

Some reading of the config files leads me to believe that \"/this/\" refers to the PlaneShift install directory. Is there any way to have the configuration saved to my home directory as opposed to giving write permissions to that file?

I get a similar error when using the pssetup binary:

Error saving configuration \'\'.

Any help on this issue appreciated.

Did you install as root? If so install as user.

Planeshift doesn\'t support multiuser evironments yet. So install it as user for now if you don\'t want to play as root (yuck) or do some scripting if you want multiple users to be able to play it.

/this/ is not the linux filesystem, it\'s the VFS.

/this/ points to the directory PS is runned in

Isn\'t that what I said?

I know there\'s no \"/this/\" on my filesystem.
