If you are prompted to save the .torrent file to your desktop ( it will be tiny, like 20kB ) , this doesnt mean the download has failed. The .torrent file is something you need to open with a bitorrent client, it contains instructions on where to go to download the actual game content. If the official bittorent client is not working for you, there are alternatives. Azureus is one that many seem to find useful:

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

It could also be a problem with the planeshift site, I believe the bittorrent download feature for Planeshift_CB_0.3.008 is brand-new and it still may have some glitches, like a problem with the tracker for example. Give it a few days and try again perhaps.

hmph, well, the website link to DL the game is working, but the connection keeps getting reset, and kills the download. the bandwidth is an issue too, staying at a slow 12KBPS, when i can download at about 150KBPS, give or take... but they warn that on the page, so i understand. everything i\'ve tried has failed. why not submit the file to download.com so that way i can give it one more shot? i\'d really like to get into it, but it\'s impossible when bandwidth, bootleg files, and some guy sitting there clicking on the \"Reset internet to anger people\" button. consider the thought of download.com, though im sure if you did do that, the game would explode. lol, or get rid of the disgruntled employee that likes that button.
