Title: Guild War

I am looking for two or more guilds who would be interested in holding a guild vs guild battle on the festival I am organizing.

Any guild leaders who are interested please reply to this thread so that we can create some teams and give the crowd a spectacle.

What is it with you people .. where is the bloodlust? The rivalry? The epic battles between good and evil?
I \'m offering a location, organisation and audience .. so nobody out there is bold enough to pick up their weapons and fight for dominance?

i dont think many people will jump at this from a forum pov but an ingame gathering for such ideas would prove more usefull..

Well, Ashes would take you up on the offer, but there\'s two of us, so it\'s unfair to you. Maybe when you have a few more people... :D

I would ask Deus Ex Trucido. They are extremely agressive and have already taken out a few guilds. I\'m sure Amheh would jump on the offer. And to battle DeT, ask Easton Ghent and his allies.

What do you mean by taken out? I\'m not mocking, I\'m just interested. Did they just win the guild wars, or did they actually cause the other guild to disband, or what?

Deus Ex fell at the hands of my Knight\'s so agressive yes but not a threat to any veterans.

The date would be my Festival of the Hunt, the location will be the arena. The guilds ... is what I \'ve come here to get. All I need is a few teams of 5 (wo)men from the same guild. But as always talking is all that happens on here.

Why I \'m doing it is because I \'m tired of all the whining and talking about having this and organizing that. I \'m tired of talk .. I \'m doing it. And if you think nobody will come then you can just keep slashing up monsters and ignore my efforts .. if the plaza is empty you know where to find us ;)

Ok, i agree now you will have lots sorted but what if the fight takes ages-the dead may use /spawn command and sprint back into the battle.

Just a point worth thinking about...

After typing /spawn one would have to wait a while for the Hydlaa map to load (which if I\'m not mistaken is the one for which you have to wait the longest time) and then rush to the arena (with yet another loading time). Once coming to the arena, there is still quite a long path waiting for one who wishes to come back.
Of course, the time would be shorter for those who load all maps while connecting, but still the fight shouldn\'t last more than one minute... Unless all fighters have (for example) high light armour skills and low weapon skills... But that isn\'t very likely to happen...

Post by: Zan on April 03, 2005, 05:46:32 pm: I will also have referees available to watch over the fight and those participating will have to follow certain rules. Whoever fails to follow the rules will result in the disqualification of their guild and the automatic victory of the opposing guild.

One of the rules would be that whoever leaves the battlefield (one room of the arena) is considered defeated and can\'t return to combat.

Post by: mikewsnc on April 03, 2005, 09:13:46 pm: I like the idea but the reality of it is it will take alot more then one person to get it off the ground. If it was to work you would need a nice amount of prize money\'s to be divided out. So for now I would have to say to put this thought away and sit down with a pen and paper (better yet a picle with an eraser) and think every aspect of this tournament over. Once you have done this than email me then model for it and if it has a chance i will help finance it along with promoteing it.

The guild battle is only a small aspect of my plans and I have worked out everything but the participants and an exact time since that will mainly depend on the participants\' availability.

The guildwar was cancled by the server dead, im sure you can testify to the fact when you look at your guild points and realise you have not gained any Karma points, I have not re-intiated war..as stated in my thread. All wars are at a stand still. I do however welcome the continuation of our little bout Aranis, and as for Zan unless you organisation plans on finding wealthy sponsers to fund the victor, id abondon ship.

Oh and you don\'t need to enter a guild to fight .. I am going to organize many tournaments to give you a chance to prove what you \'re worth ;)

Am-heh .. there will be prizes. Whether they \'ll be worth it, probably not for you but that isn\'t my concern. I am doing this for the game and the community, not your guild\'s purse. If you aren\'t interested, no problem.

Oh but phisical power is not everything. And you will never get a guild war with me...you can just forget that.

You seem to think you are stronger amheh. But i am much stronger in many ways.
