Ok great April Fools joke guys but can we now mutate back to our original characters please. Most people choose a char because they like it, so why should we be happy being something else? But before I go down in flames can I say that - yes I had a good laugh about it yesterday and \'played\' along. But now I don\'t find it funny anymore - in fact it has prevented me from logging on to PlaneShift today.
Another thing I noticed is that the roleplaying you guys try so hard to enforce is almost missing because of this.
So please can we get back to normal as soon as possible?

I found it funny and am still having fun with my little monster :). I suppose they should change us all back now (even though either way I wouldn\'t care) but I don\'t think you needed a thread to tell them to.

I agree with Adyna completely .. it was fun for a bit but it hurting and limiting roleplaying. You can\'t even see who \'s holding a weapon and who isn\'t anymore.

It\'s hard to express the shear frustration and annoyance this \"April Fools\" joke was to me. I just start playing this game seeing that my dwarf is a overlarge monster of some kind that can\'t even get through the gates to get outside or get into the sewers that everyone tells me to go to level. In addition when I actually died, I couldn\'t get out of \"Hell\" because I was too big....
Inconvenience anyone? Hell yes!

Well, that was great experience being a dragon/carkass and fly over the
plaza, but indeed, I got a little fed with this today. Well, the reason why Adyna
is so upset is here (http://ps.platinum.linux.pl/ps60-hydlaa-elite-april-fools.jpg) along with other nice screenshots made yesterday. ;)

This is an event. I\'m going to get married as a Gobble! What do you think of this?! Actually I\'m trying to have some fun with it. Do the same Adyna, try to have fun :)

lol, poor Phinehas, you know he might be a rat, but he\'s fast, and rats have loads of desiases, so he bites you and you die :P
EDIT: Yes the worse of all this is for the dwarves, hope the devs change them to another monster that can actually fit though the doors... btw, if you get to the Death Realm type \"/spawn\" to get out of there.

Well this \"update\" is a bit of a hinderance and annoyance. I originally picked out the Hammerwielder Dwarf because I like Dwarves, fun to play as in games, now I\'m a Tefu for some God awful reason that I don\'t think anybody clearly gets as alot of us are still thinking this was a cruel (although in the beginning slightly amusing) joke. So could a Dev or GM please point to whether this is still a joke or an actual \"event\" to be kept? I also know a couple people who are angry enough at the Devs for this continuation that they\'ve gone to other games.
Tefus suck because they\'re too big, I cant get out of the gate to go mine or to the other town. I also can\'t get down one sewer entrance, but luckily I can get down the other. Also Arena access is restricted somewhat as I can\'t get through doors. So I propose this for the Devs 1)Say this was all just a cruel joke left going too long, or 2) Make Doors Wider. Thank you.

Sure it was funny, and though it\'s a bit of a problem for roleplaying I dont mind that much, but if some people are bothered, I suppose it should be restored quickly ...

well for the five minutes i thought it was real i was \"Screw Planeshft.. at least more room in my link folder without it and one less game to follow :/\" then it hit me (sleeping at night screws with my knowing what DAY it is.. i know the TIME very well though)
Still havent logged in at all as i didnt feel like messing with it XD
Also i agree.. high time this winds down to a close (and yes it was funny but not very fun )

logged in after the 1st saw what i am and thought it was cool, if you truly like to rolplay I think it gives you somthing new to try and mess with although we cant see weapons it just adds more fun and chaos to the game. And its clearly not a joke and part of the game what difference does it make have fun and keep rp

Has anyone tried just to mess badly with the models? So that you switch teffi with hammerwielders, and so?

i just logged on and logged off....it would be funnier and less annoying if they left the wrong models only on the character screen. Orrrr...if they changed the models of npc\'s only....

I didn\'t know there were so many people who lack humor in such great quantities! I, for one, found it hilariously funny, to say the least! It was, IMNSHO, a great joke, and I was kinda sad that I had only so little time to enjoy it since I was rather busy yesterday. I was hoping that it\'d continue past today.
Seriously, the only thing that I\'d have found even more fun would\'ve been to give the monsters the player models in addition to the players having the monster models!
I don\'t really see your problem, people. Sure, it was rather OOC while it lasted, but most of the time I don\'t see any RP going on anyway... at least when I walk the plaza, I mostly see obvious OOC.

if something like this stresse\'s you out then you need to rethink your life and what is important in it people.
go with the flow and have some fun. this is a game it\'s here for entertainment and i thought that was very entertaining it :D

It was a good joke but enough is enough (!)
It was fun stamping on people but now it takes yaeeers challenging people after many \'you can challenge others only\' messages. Also they could\'ve been more imaginitive with the npcs. rats are quite boring even though they are a similar race to what they are.
Another thing- i have 2 characters. one stonebreaker and an other thing. Yet, they are both tefus. Id have thought they would vary.. wouldn\'t you?

Fortunately for me I was a rat so easily got out of the city to the Tefusang pit and had the place to myself. :D
It might have been even funnier if the monster models were switched to the char models. Talk about the shoe being on the other foot! ;)
I kind of like the fact that the devs play jokes every once in awhile. With \"heavy kran\" last year, it is becoming a tradition.

I really liked being a Carkarass for a while... but that rendered me not being able to fight any T\'s... but I don\'t mind... the devs should have some fun at our expense once in a while... :-)

This is actually a very normal reaction in online games.
It weeds out the people with serious issues.
Tends to improve games as a result.

Heh, you didn\'t see me, then. ;) When I was on my way to Ojaveda in my clacker form, I briefly stopped by to see if any tefusangs were battling other tefusangs. I saw you there. :)
@ Thiesen: Only the model was switched, the stats and other attributes were identical. You could also hold weapons and items, they just didn\'t show. I saw an ulbernaut mining when I was checking out my consumer body!
Anyway, it was really hard to get used to look like flying but in fact not flying in the carkarass form... several times I acquired fall damage when I just ignored gaps since I was flying. :) However, for once, strafing didn\'t look dumb / like skating w/o a board! :D

Well this is a bit of a late reply but nonetheless i want to say that i enjoyed very much being a Gobble for a day :P It was nice to be able of kind of sit down! And it was awesome to see all the critters running around!
Also this joke made me think: \"Why not make shapeshifting abilities a kind of power, spell, skill or something like that in the game?\" I really think that would be nice... maybe I\'ll check out the wish list later!
