Title: What is the size of the client now?
Post by: Lyrah on April 04, 2005, 11:39:23 am
Anyone know if the 220mg size is correct or is that wrong and the 210 to 211mg that I have gotten downloaded right. Bittorrent is about the same speed as dial up for pitty sake (at 7.3% getting between 3 and 15k/s with a GOOD DSL). The others downloaded in less than 10 minutes. The bit torrent says HOURS.

I would HATE to download off of Bit torrent and end up with the WRONG files...again.

210megabyte is roughly equal to 220000000 bytes (one kilobyte = 1024 bytes and one megabyte is 1024 kilobytes).

Well when I try to start the installer from the mirror site downloads (went to my D drive downloads folder, where I normally put ALL my downloads...so I can find them) I got a corrupted file error. Bit torrent did NOT ask before it started saving stuff to my desktop *boggle* didn\'t know you could save there. Oh well, maybe my D drive has a corrupted sector where Planeshift tried to save or open to.

Now to wait until Bit torrent finishes...or my five year old has his eighth birthday...whichever comes first.

It was the corrupted sector, been playing for a few hours now. I like the game so far.
