I thought some newer people in the community would appreciate seeing PlaneShift\'s first incarnation, the 2D MUD. This link appeared in an old news post during MB, I think, and is a copy of the original website, with story, screenshots, art, and even a nice little in-character talk with an NPC, complete with dialog options. :)
I don\'t speak Italian myself, so you\'ll have to translate the pages with Babelfish if you want to read the text there.
Well, enjoy. OH, and lookit what I just found, a much better version of the \"Yliakum Cross-Section\" pic. :)

Ooo how cool. So how old is that page? Im thinking 97-98?
-
hmmm interesting Klyros seems to be the only race that has changed, judging from the image on the mud page they had no wings.
So who here actually played the mud version of planeshift?
-
I dont think theres anyone left that has...
It probably had a tiny community consisting of people who are now the devs.

Scares me how we live in caves and we cant venture into the lower parts of this giant \"cave\"

Have you guys found the system specs for this MUD yet? :) Pentium 75 or better, 10mb RAM, 10mb Disk space, and of course... the latest and greatest Windows 95. ;)
