Title: Removeal Issue
Post by: llogain2000 on April 16, 2005, 03:14:54 am
Hello there.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the PS icon from my desktop? I have tried a search and remove but it tells me the program is being used by another person or program. Bittorrent has also been removed.
Thanks for any advise.

I remember reading about this a few weeks ago but i forgot exactly what it said. Try restarting your computer and then deleting it.

Not sure if it will work but it should.

do you mean the entire program, or just the icon, because there\'s a BIG difference...

Must be that the program was downloaded to the desktop. It\'s unlikely that the icon is in use by any program.
I can only assume that the download hasn\'t completed yet and that\'s what is keeping the file locked. A reboot should fix it.

The icon looks to be a .exe file, when I open it, I get a dos prompt for a fraction of a second and the window closes itself. The reboot does not work either. It was the bittorrent file dl, I stoped it after about 5 hours running and only got a few hundred kb. I figured I would find another method, as I have a 5mbps cable connection and I can DL 1gig in about 10 minutes. Wasnt worth the wait. Anyhow, the program is still on my computer and any other info would be appreciated

Thanks again.

Your math sucks.

5Mbps = 0,625MB/s
0,625 * 60 = 37,5MB
37,5*10 = 375MB

I have 8 I may add :) (600MB on 10 min :P)

Unless of course - he was referring to 1 Giga-bits of data ;)
